Topic: Center stand question

Have a 78 CB550K and am putting a MAC exhaust on ( I am keeping the originals ). The K stand sticks out too far on the left side ! I would like to put a F center stand on it because I want to have the center stand for maintenance reasons

Are certain years that are compatible ?
Would a 78 CB750 F work on a 78 CB550K

I took mine off. When I need it, I slide it back together w/o the spring and bolts.
