Bart you in Seattle? I think it would be cool to have a painting of me riding my bike.

I'd love to have that on the side of my bike, or actually what I'd love to have is a miniature like that of my bike painted on my bike as my bike will end up being painted.  Actually I've been sort of half heartedly looking for someone locally to do paintings like yours on bikes I paint.  I paint a few bikes from time to time as sort of a side thing, been doing it for years, but I'm no artist.  So what I was wanting to do is shoot whatever background I was going to do, then shoot a couple of coats of clear.  Then I'd block it, and then give it to the Artist to do their thing.  Once the artwork was done I'd clear coat it again and do a regular cut and buff on it.  I've got one guy lined up to do the artwork if we find a demand for it but his work is more cartoonish than detailed and so it might not be what folks are looking for.  Anyway if you were interested you should be able to hook up with a custom painter and make yourself a respectable little bit of change on the side if you want, its apparent you have the talent for it.  After that its just a matter of materials.

FWIW

If you can't find a local artist, make a photo you like, take it to a competent print shop. They'll make you some nice decals - any size - you can even clear coat 'em.

They can make one "in reverse" so you can have 'em on both sides of your tank - each pointing the proper direction.

Just a thought.

Actually you can make your own decals with your own printer.   You can shoot UC-35 over top of this stuff.

decals are cool but there is something about actual paint that is cooler.
