Well, I think it is purdy!

I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

Not what I'd do to a 750, but nice looking bike.

Sure that wasn't taken in the 70's ;D and did he have his 8 track playing? Nice looking retro cruiser, though.  Larry

IMHO, it is purdy!

This guy has obviously done a very nice, tasteful, beautiful job of what suits him. And, after all, isn't that what it's all about?

Good pics, TipperT.

About 20 years ago I had a XS1100 decked out in similar fashion. It was the start of my touring bike habit. I have a Concours right now to serve my touring needs but that picture makes me think I might need to have a 750 one day. Those fairings routinely go in the garbage and the bags could be had for a very reasonable fee. I think it's a handsome package and kudos to the rider in the photo for taking such pride in that one.

The owner has spent some time making it what it is.  So, my guess he has spent some time here.  Wish he would log on and say " That's me!".

It'd be a great bike to do some touring and extended weekend rides on. I think it's a beauty.

For all we know he may be the best rider in town and gets his grins from kickin' the crap out of the young whippersnappers on their cafe bikes through the twisties on his full dresser.

Hell, he might have a collection of bikes that would be the envy of God himself including some SOHCs that would be the envy of every member of this forum.

I will always have a need for a bike outfitted like his because the most fun I have on my bikes is taking extended camping trips with my friends and I usually do it in the fall and winter. I also like my cafe bike (1978 BMW R100S) for aggressive rides and warm weather rides. When I want to ride around the 'hood I hop on the Trail 90 or the CH80 Elite. For dirt and dual sport I use the 1985 Honda XR350. The CB500 I'm resto modding right now will be a fun all around midsize for squirting around the countryside and around town. The reality though is that first and foremost I enjoy the camping trips and he has found a stylish way to mix vintage mojo with creature comforts. If I could own only one bike it would have to be something outfitted like his.

I not that old yet and I like what he did with it.  It's tasteful and practical, and normally I'm not a huge fan of baggers.

I have never been a fan of them wedgie bags..nor windshields

I could tolerate a nice set of krausers, maybe  FLH bags, and some leather ones...

Clearly I have proven that you can ride plenty of miles without all that gear.. some people just have a different comfort zone/expectations..

For the most part, I never liked adding stuff to a bike that has to be removed for regular servicing, or inconveniences doing said service..

All that being said I did own a CB750 with boards and small bags, no windshield.. it was an uninspiring bike.. Also had a R100RT, it had the fairing, but lowers & screen were missing, but main fairing was there.. I liked that more, it had Krausers, you could clip off in moments..

Not my cup of tea, but it is nicely done and well cared for and I can appreciate it for what it is.
It is a proven fact that modifying a SOHC Honda in any way will bring on the apocalypse.

The bike does look good. Is it just me or does that look like a 77/78 17" on the rear? Bike did not look black to me.

I had the double butt-bucket on a 76 cop bike with boards. I dont think I could stand it on a bike with footpegs, hate not being able to move back and forth a bit..
