Thanks Ted but which other CB750 of mine would you make cafe? I already have a stock CB750K4 (see background bike in pic) and another k4 thats near stock - my long distance trip bike. This K2 was my first purchase in the States (from Maine) and needed everything done to it after lying in a friends garage for 3 years (and it got stripped of all its parts almost while I was back in the Uk).
Thanks for the input.
Cheers
Andy
I like to see the K2s in its original glory because it was the last year when CB750 had the classic looks. In K3, they added the more flashy tank stripes to compete with Kawasakis, Yamahas and Suzukis own fansy tank striping but in a process, the CB750 lost the classic look that made it unique. But back then, noboby was thinking about classics and keeping it stock. If it was me, I'd make your near stock K4 into cafe and make your K2 stock but like I said, that's just me. Your CB750 collection is great and keep up what makes you happy. I know that I'm happy with my own CB750s. I even converted one of my K2 to match the unique CB750 police bike shown in the WILD 7 animation, which has white gas tank with red K1 stripes and the original CB750 side covers in white with red-backing Honda 750 badge and it sported an all-red custom cafe seat similar to yours, but I also keep all the stock parts to make it silver or even the red, the latter is actually the original CB750 wrinkle tank that came from a spare CB750 parts bike!.
