So here I go with another project. The bike was a shed find that I picked up about 6 years ago. I soaked it with WD40 and tucked it away. Over the past 6 years I have been buying new little bits here and there from ebay. Last week a long awaited box from Taiwan came in with a brand new seat, NOS grey cable set and a great looking aftermarket complete exhaust. Essentially I have gotten to the point where every part that was needed to get this bike to 100% is ready to go....in boxes and the bike is still in storage.

The reason I mention opereration vacation is because this is the bike that will be taken on the hitch when my family goes out on vacation. When they sleep - Dad goes out for a whip around town on his sweet A$$ Honda S90. That is the theory.

I've always wanted one of those but every time one has come up for sale around here they have been too pricey for me. You'll have a blast with that when you get it done.

Yes I will. I picked it up from an old guy that had it since the mid 70's. Only paid $45 for it. He was as excited to sell it as I was to buy it.

Sweet ride Franky. I've been looking for one for my wife to ride around on. So fafr too expensive around here $1000+! If you ever make it to the Automotive Museum in Balboa PArk in San Diego, that is the only Honda in the motorcycle section.

Last winter's project was a 65 s90. Sold it on ebay in August for $2815. Went to Jordan, Ny. Drove 7 hrs 1 way Labor Day weekend to picup it up. Retired guy who had one new as his 1st bike.

It is going to be stock. There is no need to modify perfection. I want it to look like an old bike, and not a restore though.

These are $750+ for a restoration candidate.  I've been looking for close to a year, and they get snapped up really quick!

Been a few months and I havent touched the bike. It is on a shelf in my shed and was awaiting time in my basement for a rebuild. Snow just finally meleted and now....the basement is flooded. For all of you SOB's that have a garage or shop.....you had better appreciate how good you have it.

I made the mistake of putting a bike in the basement before. There is still an 81 Kawasaki 440 in the basement of my old house. The whole bike went under.

Tell me about it...I just paid ninety bucks for carburetor covers for my CA95.  Obscure pieces for these older, little Honda bikes are getting harder and harder to find.  I'd been searching for 8 months!

Yeah, the little POS battery door is $80 for NOS and you can get a rotten one on ebay for around $45. I have lost interest with looking for a bargain.....I just want to get the bike together. Good luck with yours.

I've got an S90 I bought a few years ago from a lady in El Paso TX.

The battery door at DrATV is a bite the bullet and just do it thing...

The S90 is fun and can do 50-55 with a light rider.  That's plenty for it's drum brakes and it's a fun bike that is a real attention getter...
Taking it for a ride and people will come up to you and tell you about old Honda S90s or C70s or CT70s or CT90s or even old Suzuki mosquito foggers (2 stroker) they had when they were young.
The S90 is very nimble but doesn't have the HP/torque to give a squirt of power out of the way of some cager who starts to cut you off.


Insure it so it doesn't disappear on you...

The bike on the Independence Day Winnebago was a Honda CL90 I believe...but it looked like they stuck a Hawk tank on it...
