CB750 K5 - main jet / exhaust question (beginner)
« on: December 04, 2010, 02:15:57 PM »
Hello,

I have a stock 1975 CB750; i will be replacing the exhaust in a couple weeks with a Carpy style 4 into 1. The supplier recommends increasing my main jets by two sizes from the stock set-up. The parts guy at the honda shop here isn't sure what jets to supply me without seeing what is currently in the bike. However, the bike is at my friend's garage 4 hours away, and i cannot get the current jets out to show the parts guy...

can anyone give me a spec or part number for the main jets that i can forward to my supplier, or better yet just point me where i can get them myself?

i am a beginner, so please explain it to me as if i was a four year old...

You prolly have 105's in it.  If so, pick up a 110 and 115 for each, so it will be a total of 8.  Better off getting both sizes in case you need the other size. They general rule of thumb is to go up is 5.  I can't remember which ones I put in.  A plug chop afterwards will will you an idea which on is best.

Z1 has them - http://www.z1enterprises.com/catalog.aspx?pid=HPCF2

They are under the float bowls.

I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.
