Thanks Bill. I still have to swap exhausts. I picked up a Mac 4-1 for $20 thats in alot better shape than the Kerker thats on it now. I just have to get some different bolts to mount it. The Kerker has countersunk Phillips head bolts in the flanges and the Mac just has slots......so I guess I'll have to use regular hexhead bolts with washers.

Anybody know the size for the exhaust bolts......M8s, M10s, M12s?

Still have to get the seat covered too. Looking at getting a Stingray pelt/skin (black) and doing the cover with it. Should be waterproof.  ;D

Well, I figured you were going to do something with the exhaust, I just didn't know
whether you were going to work on that one or swap it out. And we all were hoping that some
day you be sitting on something besides fiberglass. Just watch the bumps until you do. After
seeing what your bike looked like when you 1st got it, it looks great! As for the exhaust bolt size,
I'll have to leave that one to those who know. Later on,   Bill

Hate to bring up an old thread, but found a rather nice looking bikini fairing. I may get one.

OK......its off. I might try and modify it to look like the one on the Vincent. Its sweet. ;D
Bike looks allot Meaner/Evil without the fairing.
Keep it off, paint some more things black to contrast the green , and cover that damn seat !!! ;D

2stroke, that fairing might look better if you were able to move it back a bit to better line up with the headlight. that and a simple paint job with stripes or even a different color might look good.

Yes please on the fairing!  I took mine off after a minor mishap and can't wait to get a new bubble so I can re-mount.  This was the look I thought was sooooo cool in High School back in the day (and still do).

Still dig the fairing.

;D Being done this week or next. Hopefully this week since Im without even a seatbase to sit on.
While Im not able to ride it Im gonna clean the finned covers up and redo the black on them. Got my front tire mounted yesterday.....getting the back done Friday. Those aluminum rims are gonna look good on it.

I got one of the guys in the paint shop to mix me some Interstate Battery green up and put it in a poof can for me. Might squirt some on the fairing and see what it looks like that way. I like the look of the fairing while sitting on the bike, but the front view is what turns me off about it. If it was trimmed up to look similar to the Vincent it might look better.

Japbikemike....for some reason yours looks better from the front than mine. I guess its cause your tank is dark like the fairing. Let me get it painted green and I'll try it again.

To tell a family secret....

I've got aftermarket "cafe" headlight ears.  I've lowered the headlight and fairing about 4 inches.

It's a beautiful thing.

         Japbikemike,
I was wondering what was different about yours. I never would have guessed what
you did. I've seen bikes with mini-fairings before and some looked good while others didn't. I
have one that I want to use somewhere but, I'm not sure just yet. I'm undecided whether
             to use it on the 77' or 78' CB550Ks (2 different concepts), 74' CB450K7 or maybe 63' CB77
Super Hawk. I'm kinda leaning toward the Super Hawk but, I'm not sure. Where ever I put
it, I plan for it to match the bike and maybe racing stripe or something. Later on, Bill
