This post has me wondering now, and researched on the internet with no answers, How many 750's  650's 550's 500's & 350's were actually produced then shipped and sold in the US per year?

I did the math once and if I recall correctly there were just over half a million 750's made worldwide. Not sure how many were sold in the US. I posted the question about production numbers of the other cb's but never got a response. Anyone know?

Found this on another site.  US numbers

In a market previously dominated by smaller-displacement singles and twins, Honda introduced a large-displacement, transverse, air-cooled, inline four-cylinder and as suddenly the 1969 class of one. American Honda sold 400,000 units in a 10 year-run.
In 1973 sales figures soared, more than 60,000 CB750s were sold in one single year, a number that's simply unheard of in today's street bike market.

I wish I had a dollar in hand for every one I've worked on, let alone sold.  :D
I'd bet I could cut 25% off my mortgage balance with that!  :o

I believe these are world production figures.  Works out to 442900 units for the K model.

I'd just like to add that my first 71 K1 in 1971 had a list price in $1700 range but I couldn't afford it (or anything else) so financed it for $67/mo for three years. And that, was a big payment to manage each month.

Not yet Larry. The carbs were removed and cleaned as they were seized.I took the exhaust to a car wash, always fun degreasing and cleaning as the water freezes on them  :D and also blasted out an assortment of nuts, seeds and other critter debri, all 4 pipes were pretty much plugged. So far she has just run on a slave tank. With a big storm headed our way it looks like a long time before a "real ride"  :'( but still lots to do and little parts to buy since I think she will live.     Eric in snowy Michigan    SORRY Frank-Now back to something with a Friggen cam  ;D
