Robbie Robertson said of life on the road... "it's a f'ing impossible way of life". Try to imagine what it must have been like for these four guys.

It was an incredible time for music. Lennon and the Beatles do deserve respect for the new ground they broke.  I can't believe anyone would think otherwise.

He's on the cusp.  I guess he can swing both ways. ;D

Back on topic.  Great clip with John hamming it up after Paul sings Yesterday.

Jeez - whatever happened to free speech and the RIGHT to a personal opinion? Take a chill pill BB - there's plenty of people out there who don't like the Beatles, Lennon's music, his ideals and they have every right to express that. It'd be a boring old world if we all had the same opinons don't ya think?

Dreadful shame he was taken before his time, nobody deserves that and the guy was a genius. Personally, I cannot stand his music, that doesn't mean I think any less of him as a contributor the the 20th century...

I don't have a problem with free speech and personal opinion, but I think it's disrespectful to go to a memorial and piss on the flowers. Anyone bone headed enough to do so ranks right down there with the Westboro Baptist Church protesters.

I agree with you except this is a foum where people express their views and the opening thread gives us just that, a personal thought. It's not a public ceremony or funeral service now is it - I'm sure it still says "open forum" at the top, therefore expressing an opinion on an open public forum that doesn't agree with the original poster isn't boneheaded it's just different and difference is good, yes? There's no right or wrong here, no hell below us, above us only sky....

Live and let live, I'm sure JWOL would approve. ;)
