NOS on a CB750
« on: March 17, 2006, 06:19:36 PM »
I am not crazy. I am curious. These SOHC Motors are pretty strong. If one needed a bit of extra zip on occasion,  NOS would be a logocal choice for cheap and simple HP. How would one feed the NOS to an engine with four individual carbs and manifolds ? I have my own theory of how to do it, but I would like to see what others think.
Dedicated to Sgt. Howard Bruckner 1950 - 1969. KIA LONG KHANH.

But we were boys, and boys will be boys, and so they will. To us, everything was dangerous, but what of that? Had we not been made to live forever?

Not that cheap Bobby but it can be done.
You would need to tap 2 holes into each inlet stub, then you would need another gas supply from the tank.
Beside all the NOS equipment, you realy need a good programable ignition system.
I don't know what the leagalities are for you, but in the UK it's not road leagle.

Sam....just need one hole THOUGH it is best to have it in metal as opposed to the rubber boot. I run NOS on my FJ though I use APE adaptor plates (that had to be modified because the original mounting point for the nozzles SUCKED and there were vacuum leaks that smoked the guides and NO ONE at APE listened to me even though I #$%*ED LONG AND HARD). That's for cylinders #2 and #3 Jay. I had to rotate them approximately 25 degress laterally (drill new holes and tap on the Bridgeport and seal up the old ones)) to get them to clear the cam chain tensioner but no one gave a #$%* at APE even when I offered free advice and pics..... My #$%*ing is done.

Yes Sam but they are mixed in one nozzle. It looks like a Y upside down. One fuel, one NOS into a common outlet.
