Jerry........great roads to ride in Utah should include Hwy 12 through Escalante.........

Keep in mind the various bike events to be visited..........that may play into how the route is designed.

I am available to ride in June to get to Road America (6-10)..........I will also be in Idaho & Montana in late June and early July..........and then I will be traveling to and from Bonneville in my van with others (K3 will be in the trailer) to help if needed to escort from the Salt Flats BUB event back to Tooele for the Bonneville GP and then a few days of wherever.....the rest of Utah, Wyoming........meet up with you?

I will also be going to Barber in October with my K3 so there should be a large group opportunity.

Since we have travellers to and from the UK........it could cover Europe and return to cover any places or riders we missed........including Western Canada and Alaska in the summer of 2012

Ha ha, I agree. Did you ever see the Top Gear episode where they rode motorcycles through Vietnam? They tried something similar to the Geisha doll. It didn't turn out well.

Heh...yeah the model of the full rigged clipper ship and the big plaster Buddha? that was a beautiful ship...to begin with...one of the best Top Gears I've seen too. Some awesome roadside bike fixin, too.

Speaking of Seaweb and Geishas the final stop and party, unless he takes it to Alaska on the ferry, is at his place in his fancy garage on Gabriola Island, off Vancouver Island, BC. Frank will be bringing "it" to Seaweb's Derek throws one helluva party  signed Bozo aka the Gnome

On the CA leg tho...the coast is beautiful and the mouintains are beautiful, but other than zig-zagging up the state, don't see how you can do both...if you ride the coast from SD to SF, in order to drop in on KingsCanyon/Seqouia Natl Park, you gotta go almost all the way back to LA, and then to catch Yosemite on the way up, well, it's a long ways inland. There are some awesome roads up thru the Sierras, but again, I'm thinkin it's one or the other.....although if there were other northern guys like me who are thinkin of going south, then coming back up, a huge loop was sorta what I had in mind, but heh..do I go down the coast and come back up thru the mountains? or down thru the mountains, say thru Susanville, down 395 thru Reno and up to Tahoe,down the top of the Sierras thru Yosemite and Sequoia and then back up the coast? Geez..what choices...  And us50..the loneliest road in America? Used to ride it between Sac and Tahoe all the time and got stuck in traffic more than a few times, especially if you try to go to Tahoe on a weekend. It was gnarly 25 yrs ago, don't imagine it's gotten any better, something I'd try to avoid...
