Great looking bike; congratulations.

Where did you come up with the headlight brackets?

Yep those are JC Whitney Brackets. The Tail light is held on with two L shaped bracket that can be found at any hardware store.

  Nice job there.

Well, if you do sell it, from what we've seen on the 550, no doubt that 750 will be
another fantastic looking bike. You do good work! Just keep bringing them back to life.

Looks good.......I just got mine legal and road ready last Saturday.

One question, What kind of tires are you running? I was looking at some at a local shop that the owner said $150 mounted...ready to ride. Turns out they are the same as on my bike now.... CS Hi Max.  I finally put 2 & 2 together and found out that CS stands for Chen Siengs(sp?)    I think I'll be looking for something else.  I like the tread pattern of yours.

I honestly don't know what the tires are. Those were on it when I bought it. They say Challenger. You will also note the Harley rim laced up on the Honda hub.

yep the're kendas, I was just kiking around putting some on my 550, how do you like them??

Okay, either I'm completely blind and didn't see it (which is possible) or you don't have the lincence plate on it.

Where are you hiding that? I'm planning on doing something very simular with my tail light and figured that I would just put the plate right underneath it, but after a little more checking, I don't think it's going to clear. what did you do with yours?

You know.. Something occured to me today. If we go back in time. It was about 1973, 1974, or 1975. Don't really remember.
I was at the Honda dealership. I had just purchased a brand spanking new Honda CB 750. This was my first bike of any size. Previously the largest I had owned was a 350. The CB 750 was my dream bike. (Back in those days what else was there?)

Anyway. All the paperwork is done and I'm on my way. I get less than two miles from the dealer when the bike dies at a light and fails to start. Remember this is brand spanking new!  We I'm not very mechanical back in those days. The bike just won't start. I find a phone and call the dealer. They come to get me and the bike. Seems the plugs were fouled.

Dealer replaces plugs and advises me to keep the RPM above some X number. Don't recall. Anyway. Everything is fine after that.
It's been so many years I'm certain I don't even remember the joys of having my dream bike. 10,000 miles later...........

My perception is the bike is just worn out..I remind you again. Back in those days I probably wasn't big on maintanence.
It was dirty and ugly. Didn't run very strong anymore...

Promptly went to a Kawasaki Dealer and traded it in on a shiny new Kawasaki 900. Never looked back. Kawasaki's have been number one for me every since.

Many years pass....... It was only a year ago that I developed this odd interest in 70's motorcyles and here I am.

Based on my young experience with a new CB 750 back in 70's.. I find it amusing that I would buy a CB 750 from about the same year I had a new one. With over 20,000 on it.   I am a glutton for punishment!

Did you say passenger? Bit your lip. The rear foot pegs are removed. The seat design didn't have passenger in mind.
Rule 1..... Never ever put an extra 100 plus pounds on the back of your bike. It will totally destroy any handling characteristics you might have had in the beginning.

My wife accepts this fact. Our aggreement is.. When I hit 65 years. I will get a Goldwing with a queen seat and arm rests.
The good news is... I've got a good ways to go. For now it's one up and always low bars.

Well alright guys!!! You finaly ID'd my front tire.It says Challenger but thats it other than size...no brand name.I have heard of Kenda before but wonder why that name isn't there.I have always just refered to it as a cheap #$%* tire but now that I think of it,it does still have good tread and has been on the bike since I have owned it(2000).I am going to replace it ASAP though cause I am starting to worry about the tube in it. Going to match it up to the new Metzler in  the rear. Good lookin scoot Bodain!! I also like the Harley rear wheel.

Careful Bodain, I was in court a while back (for speeding on the bike no less) and a big biker dude tried to argue that modifying his pimped out brand new Hardley's license plate bracket (which was crooked like yours) would cost him (gasp) thousands of dollars and (my favorite part) ruin his $5k paintjob.  He had put it on turned cockeyed on his rear fender.  Ugly ass bike, too.  All puke green with purple and yellow flames.  Ahh, rednecks and their Hardleys.

Anyways, he got pulled over and cited for it, because plates are supposed to be placed standard and horizontal on all vehicles.  It was amusing to watch him try to argue with the judge over it.  I'm not surprised he got cited by the cop in the first place... He really was a stereotypical "holier than thou" Harley rider.

And after all that, I got denied my request to go to driving school and get the ticket wiped.  BASTARD!!  Just because I get pulled over twice in the same month...  Man that was an expensive month.  ;D
