;D Nice!! Tracy body. Looks like a 1977 or 1978. It has non accelerator pump carbs. Some other extras too. Lots of potential!!! Nice find!!  ;D  ;D  ;D

That's a pretty nice old custom paint job with what looks to be some patina to it.  Very cool in my opinion.  Will you try to keep it?

Don't worry about what "some people" think, it's your bike, if you like it, go w/it.

I like the fender, and the whole bike to boot. Yea that frame is a '76, I have a '77 and I wish they hadn't made the changes for the rear brakes and passenger pegs. I would love to find a Tracy and go with it, you've got a gem there!

Funny! I play the same "game", told wifey I traded a mini-bike for a CB750! yeah, right!!

Not trying to throw a spanner in the works mate but those rear pegs are too far back, they will be very uncomfortable after about 5 minutes riding....Apart from that, nice bike.... ;)

The debate is on !. I have to agree with Mick - it makes operating the controls difficult , your feet point straight down and drag at virtually no lean angle , you cannot "weight" the pegs while manoevering and unless your significant other is a double amputee, where do they put their feet ?.
Other than that - the bike looks megga and that tracey body is worth its weight in gold - wish i could find one !.

sorry mick i have to disagree...i used to ride and still do ride with my feet on the rear pegs.i just never had the controls on them and always wished i did.so i put these sets in the rear peg location.just try it sometime when your riding if your bike is similar to mine.i find it comfortable........

Had around 20 of these bikes dude and have 2 and a bit now as well as over 40 bikes all up, and yes i have ridden with my feet on the rear pegs for a change of position for relief but you have used the rear mount and put the rear sets back even further, much further back than A gsxr for example and after an hour in the saddle on a Gixxer you need to straighten the old legs....Even on the race bikes i have ridden the pegs weren't that far back, i am about 1 inch shorter than you.....Your bike ....just saying.. ;)

I am using rear sets on mine, just not that far back. I found it easier to look at more modern road bikes as their foot pegs are what we would consider rear set for our old bikes or strap some pipe in a few different places to get the positioning right. I imagine you won't be doing long trips on the Tracy, especially with clip pons on it so it may be fun for around town, any way it won't be too hard to change the position of the rear sets if you decide too...I like the Tracy's, cool looking kits.

I took the beast on a 550 mile ride last summer and with drag bars and a stock seat and stock gas tank I tried putting my feet back on the passenger pegs and that lasted all of 5 minutes. I know a guy with a 900F and he has "factory" rear sets and they don't sit back so far and they just look more comfortable. I'm with you Mick, but to each his own.
