CB750 Tank Trim Installation
« on: December 20, 2010, 05:24:24 PM »
Restoration of my 74 continues, but stumped by how the new lower tank trim gets installed.  I bought a set of reops from David Silver Spares, and thay look pretty darn good, but not sure how they go on, given the thim metal retaining tabs mounted on the bottom edge of the tank.  Kinda/sorta think they must slide on from the rear, but unsure,  Waited three weeks to get them, and hate to ruin them.  Any technique I should follow?   ???

Bud,
I used the DSS trim. I just bent those tabs back out - open with a flat blade and poked the trim on. Squeeze the tabs closed onto the trim.
