Love your gold K2, fella.  What have you in mind for your new project in terms of paint?
Where are you in the UK if you don't mind me asking?

Paul.

Beautiful. Nothing quite like the sound of a Brit single cruising a B road at 40-45mph. My Enfield was technically Indian, but it was Brit at its core and made a wonderful sound.

Let the purists think what they will, from the evidence of your previous build the K6 will end up a better-looking bike than it does now.  The K6 looks like one of DK's imports.  My K3 is likely to be gold too...or maybe Polynesian blue..or Jap-market silver...but paint is a long way off.  I've not even got the thing apart yet.  Are you intending going for stock in most other respects?

Paul.

Hi Paul
yes its a dk import from Colorado, the bike will be stock apart from the paint, so it would be easy for me to put a k6 standard paint set on it in the future if I so desired !
I once restored a Kawasaki h1f that should have had a brown and yellow colour scheme ...yuk..so i went for a candy green shade that Kawasaki never used on the h1s and i was pleased with the results(well in my opinion anyway) see pictures !

S1B colours. That bike inspired me to buy my first roadworthy bike, an S1C 250.
Very pretty.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

Andy, did you do your own paintwork on your previous restoration?  If not, can you recommend whoever you had do it for you?  Also, any recommendations for places that do rechroming?  I had a chainguard for my 400Four done by Derby Plating.  It was an excellent job but I almost vomited at the price which, if memory serves, was £138 and that was 8 years ago.

Cheers,
Paul

Hi Paul

I had my k2 paintwork done by Kawasaki triples workshop based in wakefield, he is a two stroke triples specialist and he also does a chroming service and his quality of work is always good and a great guy to deal with .
I must stress he is mainly a triples orientated but I got to know him well as I bought an h2 from him and he sorted the chroming and paint on my h1 as well !
         cheers
