Well somebody else on the board spotted it (in the ebay section of the forum). I know a guy in OK (now a forum member) that just emailed me the auction and wants to go see the bike. I told him it had to be a scam. Would be interesting to "go and see it". ;)

The original ad had the bike in Marin County, CA. Somebody there could certainly afford it. ;)

this new one has the same name with a 10 on the end, with no record of buying or selling.   Will be interesting to see who bids or how many it gets.  The origional one def looked legit.   Cant be too careful these days.

Really; I'm 39 and clearly remember them. When I was young and dumb, living in Florida, it used to pissed officers off because we tried to run the CA blue plates on the front bumper of our VW's to be cool. My mother-in-law has her's from Orange County around the 70's in her basement.

I had emailed the scammer guy asking why his pics were the same as the ones that just sold for 25k??   I got this later from ebay after they took the guys account.  Looks like ebay was all over it after the initial complaint.
