cb 500 rear brake pedal spidle
« on: December 18, 2010, 05:21:31 PM »
well i hope thats what it's called.
So i have a b 500 frame 1973 which i#m trying to get stripped for powder coating.
the spindle with splines that the brake pedal ataches to will not come out.
it pushes through till only the outer set of splines are showing then it feels like its hitting something.
any ideas appreciated before i resort to brute force.
thanks Andre

Is the swing arm off? Sometimes the return spring can cause it to jam. Picture would help...Larry

Remove the swingarm, then the brake shaft.  ;)

I got mine off without removing the swingarm, is that normal?  ;D

It can be done, but if you're going to paint the frame....  ::)
