Faring head light
« on: December 17, 2010, 01:08:47 AM »
Gents,

Im looking for a small build in headlight for my build as I desided to go with a faring. I have been looking at some more modern ones but I cant seem to find them no more.  I have been searching under headligt projector etc.

Im sure all you race guys have some ideas on what I could use as you might use some at track days. by the way.. it will need to be small and have high and low beam

Thanks in advance- ;D

Jimmy

Jimmy, you should be able to find something suitable from these guys and being in Europe, shipping should be reasonably ok - www.mandp.com

Sorry Sam, just thought that with all you race specialists this forum would be ideal.

Thanks Simon,

I can't really find what im looking for.

My plan was to get something similar to this. but only in one projector and aproved to be "road worthy".

Projector headlights are usually low beam only.  If you look closely, cars with projector lights are almost always four light systems, two projectors for low and two reflectors for high.  The Ducati 1098 is a two lamp system, IIRC, one for low and one for high.  Correct me if that is not right.

You may be able to adapt something but I don't think you'll find a ready made high/low projector system.
