Synthetic is fine if it specifies use in wet clutches.

Same for all other oils, actually.

If you can find automotive oil that was actually manufactured in the 1970s, you can use that too, after wiping off the dust to read the label.

Welcome to the best Forum going! (I'm a newby, too.) Fine, helpful, well-experienced bunch of guys on here. They are very capable and very willing to help with your (our) problems and questions. They have "saved my bacon" several times!

Unknowingly, you have asked a question that has been hashed and re-hashed so MANY times so, everyone is having a bit of fun with it. Please don't take if personally. It ain't about you - it's about oil - and the many various opinions on the subject - covered MANY times before.

Even with all the puns (all in fun), you can still pick out some very good advice on OIL from it.

***One suggestion, if I may, before asking a question, do a search on whatever subject. You will very likely find several previous posts on the subject.
