The BOSTON Christmas tree.
« on: December 17, 2010, 04:11:58 PM »
Just over 12 months ago I was privileged to spend a few weeks in the company of the Rieck family in Boston.
I was planning on spending a few days with Mike but when my tour of the US was thwarted by problems with the bike, I ended up spending nearly three weeks with Mike, his lovely wife Sue and charming sons Clayton and Christian.
Just before my return to the UK, Mike organised a party where I got to meet several forum members his friends and family.
The day before, Mike decided it was time to put up the new Christmas tree that he had bought.
The five of us struggled with it for about an hour but it was a pretty nice tree by the time we had finished.
On Saturday the day of the party, down came the snow, about a foot of it, a real Christmas feeling came over the party.
When I got back to the UK,  I decided to get one of my own.
I only live in a small flat so a small artificial one was in order with a few fairy lights.
It came out again this year and by the time I had set it up, guess what!!!!!!! down came the snow, It's Christmas in Hollins Green, Happy Christmas everyone.

Sam. ;)

I'm not sure what you read Mick, that's only a quarter of what I posted, I had to edit a lot out of it because my puter messed it all up. Must get a new on.
All the best Mick and Larry.

Sam, that was a nice story. I guess now I know why an Englishman wrote "A Christmas Carol" I spent an Evening at Mike's place a couple of years ago. Nice folks. Merry Christmas.
