A great player and a true role model for the sport and the USA. The WWII vets. are getting fewer and fewer each year and before long they will be all gone. How sad, because they were and still are the greatest generation. R.I.P Mr. Feller you will be missed

wow,  did not know he was alive...My mother dated Bob Feller back in the 40's.  When he came to Upper Darby, PA to do a paid promotion I got a chance to meet him and have my picture taken.  I walked away as happy as any young boy could be with an autographed baseball and an autographed  8x10 black and white photo.  Too bad those items disappeared over the years     He was quite the gentleman and one helluva pitcher...Larry

Amen to that. 99% of the sports stars today are only out to see how many high $$ cars, houses, and women they can obtain. If they tell you they would play there sport for nothing, They are lying like a dog.
