A word of warning - DSS
« on: March 21, 2006, 10:58:07 AM »
Don't get me wrong, this is not intended as a pop at David Silver Spares, I've been buying bit from them for ages with no problems.

This may just be a glitch in the online ordering system, I have a CB750F1 ('76) and have just put in a CB750F2 front end, but I needed a new brake lever, So I ordered an F2 one online, and it came today, thing is it's for an F1.

So I rang them, and asked them to check what I ordered, and yes I did order an F2 Brake lever, but when I registered with them, I registered my bike as an F1 so they sent me an F1 one.
 ::) ::) ::)

Has this happened to anyone else?

Nope.

I'm not sure why it matters to their computers.  I'm registered with them for my 400F, but I should be able to order parts for another Honda all day.

Well that's what I thought, but I spoke to them, and the guy said, the computer said I had an F1, I suppose they thought I had bought in error and decided to do "help me out" ..... I wonder... If I buy a C90 CUB engine, will they check there records and send me the a 750 one instead ;D

Yes several times at large outlet parts places like that. Their systems cannot cope with multiple owned vehicles. First registered, first for parts. :D

Hey, if you order a cb750 engine from me, can I send you a CB125s engine? ;D
