Just a little teaser pic, since I'm working on other things this winter.  Here's my winter storage solution.



While one 600rr is in a friend's storage locker, I just repainted a new to me 600rr track bike I purchased from a local instructor.  I'm also working on a CBR F2 and an SV650, both changing from street to track only bikes.   Throw in having to replace a transmission on my Silverado and a few other unexpected expenses and the 550 isn't getting any new toys this winter. 

Next year, expect to see a few pics of the CB on the track.  I figure I'll throw her on the trailer and get a few laps in on it at some point.

I've got just the thing for that twin disc set up you've got there:

The original thought was to get the bike on the road and worry about drilling rotors this winter.  I figure I'll get around to it right before spring.  My friend is a machinist and slotted the back of one rotor to make it work with the speedo drive (seen way back int he build thread), so swapping cores wouldn't work anyway.  Plus, he works for beer....at least for close friends.

I'm in the Twin Cities but ride in Wi quite a bit.  Mostly on the western border (Prescott down to Pepin) but I'll probably hit Road America a few times with the track bike this year.

Now that's a GOOD friend! can he thin them as well? if so; you can go down to 4mm safely.
I've got a in-law that is a formen at a machine shop and he won't do squat for me, even for cash!

I've known this guy since high school.  We've built a ton of cars and a few bikes together over the years.  I take care of his welding needs.  He takes care of machining.  Hell, we ride on the street and do track days together.  More like brothers. 

Never heard of M2M before.  I've seen the Vinmoto site before, but it is so lacking on info, I never think to check it.

Bearded Lady is one of the highlights of my summer.  I love that show!  It would take quite a bit for me to miss it.

Got any more info on the AHRMA races?

If you go to the home site at: http://vinmoto.org/ you;ll see there is a Vin'Moto in your area but it's not nearly as active as the Mil'Vin'Moto chapter.
The M2M is a bit on the low down because it's really a unsanctioned street race.
