That is quite a conglomeration of stuff, but it looks like a good basis for a cafe racer. Is that your plan?  Welcome... Larry

The announcement says it´s a ´80 CB650.
Yes, my intention is to build a cafe racer, i´ve got a set of forks and wheels from a ´89 CBR 600 laying at home that wold be useful...
Let´s see what i`ll found tomorrow morning.

Welcome! I was just in Mallorca a couple months ago, and will be back in May to visit a friend for a bit. My band played a show in Palma, but my friend lived about 30 minutes away (near Inca). If I can find a cheap motorcycle rental, we hope to ride around Mallorca and maybe a bit in Catalonia and Basque country as well when my girlfriend and I are there this coming spring.

Anyway, I say go for it! I have no idea how difficult it will be to get parts there, but there's plenty of knowledge about them here and the "basket" doesn't look too bad..

Hi mates, the Bike is mine!!
I went this morning and had a look, the condition is better than seems in the pics, the fuel tank is spotless and the engine was overhauled by an ace bike mechanic we had in the island (now is retired) before having a small front crash.
Which is great because i´ve enough engines to repair at work. (I´m a marine engineer)
The idea is to pick the bike up next week, put it in a jig to check everything is straight and start the transformation to cafe racer. When done strip down completely, paint and enjoy it.
I´m going to look through the forum about front fork conversions, if any of you can give me a hand in the search would be great.
Thank you guys

Hello from Canada, near Toronto.
Congratulations on your new project!
I was looking at where you are and it seems to me that yours is a relatively small island for what to me is a highway bike? Would it be common to take a ferry to the mainland for a longer trip? How are the roads on Mallorca?

A cafe racer would be a blast in Mallorca on the mountainous side of the island.. there's a big tunnel that goes through it on the main highway, but there must be some fun roads ON the mountains. I rode a scooter around on the island, and the whole time felt like I was just crawling around.
