I knew there was someone, but I just couldn't find you. ;D I was hoping that I could hand off It somewhere in western Md/Pa area and It could go into the DC area and then back up towards De. Jleather is in the Frederick area and said he might be able to join in. This might just work out after all.

Somewhere around the end of May/beginning of June. I thought that it would be great if It could make it to Rolling Thunder, but it doesn't look like the timing is right.

I'm a bit late on the response, but I'm in DC and up for the ride.

I think we have just enough people to pull this off, but we need more. The one thing we also need is for people in each region to start communicating with each other. I can fiddle around with Google maps all day, but I do not know a good road on Pa from a death trap, and we have them in NY as well, but I do know most of them. I-95 is not very nice to ride on, nor is it very interesting.

Could the Pa folks start Messaging each other and come up with a plan and a route that you can all agree on that will get IT to the  NJ riders? Remember this is our ride, and as the riders we ride where we want to, but we need to be mindful of the other people further up the route.

I think the chat function on the site is still working so at some point we can collaborate as a group as the route takes shape.

It looks like Godzilla will be leaving Florida on time, so he will be on the move in 14 days. When he will get here is something we will have to track.

Nortstudio Has mapped out a great route from Times Square up to Woodstock which is fitting in that this is the Woodstock of SOHCs. While all the riders will not be in the same place at the same time, it is the same event. We need to get Godzilla across the Hudson so we can get him into the city and then upstate. Here is proposed route from NYC to Woodstock.

Andy, actually we could meet in Rhinebeck. We have a rider from the Woodstock area so it would be interesting. If we could work it out with the show there, that would make for some interesting photos. We can work something out.

I have to get it here first. We in the Northeast are in a race against the weather, especially considering we are moving it North and up in VT and Maine, fall hits quickly. Let's stay in touch.

Just checking in as your region to the west hand off. First, I think it would very cool to have Times Square as a rally point then head to GWB through the City on a bike. May be everyday stuff for some you, but would be a kick for me! But little chance I'll be there from Ohio.

But . . . on a more serious note, where in eastern PA do you want to receive IT? Do you have Pittsburgh riders ready to head east? I think Ohio can get to Pittsburgh from any direction, no problem. But we need to know if Pittsburgh area is where Godzilla finds his next next ride.

Exactly Popwood we have yet to resolve that handoff, we have people in the Pittsburgh area. If you can read the posts and maybe reach out to them and we can get people working as a team. Looks like this thing is gonna happen in 11 days.

I've volunteered to pick IT up somewhere along the OH/PA line and take it east to Maryland. All I need to know is where IT will come from in Ohio.....north or south. Any other western Pa rides please contact me to make plans for this leg of the ride.
Thanks

Just waiting to see where It will be crossing the line. I talked to myhondas from Cleveland at the bike show in January. He mentioned that there are a few guys from Cleveland willing to ride, but I haven't seen anything concrete about the handoff.

I've posted with myhondas and he said he'd been in touch Paul. At this stage, looks like he and I will be in touch regarding routes, with input from others. Glad to see we're all connecting.

Perfect. Take it to a New Englander and the hand off is made.

This is great people working together since this is your ride. If we can button up Pa and NJ. We have NYC and Long Island covered and up into the Catskill Mountains. Andy CB750 and I will work out the New England hand off. Please start messaging each other and work out your portion of the route.

Probably no earlier than June if they wander around which they will.

So what you're saying is the TOUR will start in 11 days, not the NE legs, correct?

I just signed up to the forum after hearing about the relay from MC. I am in Loudoun County Virginia about an hour out of Harpers Ferry, WV and Frederick, MD and Washington, DC. I have a '77 naked Old Wing (it is a SOHC 4, just horizontally opposed not in line) that wants me to find out when y'all will be up this way and if we can help the cause. Could possibly even help with accomodations if I can convine the wife (spare room, pull out sofa bed, old bike barn with tools (wife has no say here), within 20 miles of two Honda dealers). Thanks.

Enjoy the ride!
