Riders, please post your logs here:

http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=85509.0

Be as detailed or brief as you like, but please share any eventful moments of your ride, interesting people you may have met, what you liked the most, etc. Don't need lots of pictures, maybe one of the handoff or maybe a group shot of the riders you were with for however far you were able to ride. You don't necessarily have to be the one that carried the baton, but you do have to have already ridden in order to post there.

Please reserve that thread for RIDER LOGS ONLY. Comments to the riders logs there would stretch that thread out to be quite large long before the relay nears completion. By keeping that thread limited to RIDER LOGS ONLY should help improve readability for many of our forum members. I have renamed the "Godzilla Sightings in Daytona!" to "Godzilla Sightings in Daytona AND BEYOND". Please continue to use that thread for posting comments, quick updates, creative pictures of Godzilla, expanding upon the unfolding story of Godzilla's adventures, (almost) anything goes in that thread. Please reserve the Rider Log thread for factual reports and rider's insights only. Our forum moderator will be deleting comments from the Rider Log thread to help promote it's linear progression as our Relay moves forward.

Enjoy the ride guys, Godzilla's comin your way!

I see people that have signed the master list and have not checked in here, I am trying to reach out to those people to see if they are still interested. There is a hole in Maryland which it seemed no team claimed. While we have time, we really need to get a route together that makes sense and leaves no rider behind. If you can post a to and from preference, people can start making plans with other riders to meet up, from early reports people seem to like meeting other members face to face.

Bobby,  where does MD come in?  Thought MID ATL was DE, NJ, NY and PA.  However, I do live very close to both MD and DE, as long as IT isn't too far I can meet and pick up...Larry

Exactly Larry, no team has claimed Maryland which is a pretty big chunk of real estate. I alerted Jerry. I am just trying to keep you guys up to date as to what is going on.

Is it getting crowded?  It seems to me there is plenty of room!  Like Bobby says, the more the merrier.

I suppose it would be Del or Pa. I think we had a fella down in DC

Is the hand off coming in from the west to get to the DC rider?  That guy/group could hit both Maryland and DE in a very short stretch on their way to NJ/Philly, if there are no others that want to ride more extensively through there.

As a reminder, there is a spot several miles from my house where a person can be in DE, MD and PA at the same time.  Baltimore is roughly 45 minutes away but DC is not an area I would want to ride to and pick IT up. Originally, I had thought the hand off was Dover, which is an hour or from my house, where a resting place is offered if anyone needs it...Larry

Maybe the previous region could hand it off to DC, and then he could meet you in Dover?  Where were you planning on heading after Dover?

I hope to get IT at the Ohio/Pa line and take IT east to somewhere in western Maryland (Hancock maybe?) Someone from Frederick (jleather??) said they might be able to help with Maryland and someone from DC also jumped in, but I haven't heard from either one. We definately need some help in this area. Also could use some riders in western Pa.

I had proposed a route through SE Pa: 82 to 345 to 100. then either into NJ or up towards NE PA...Larry

I live about an hour south of Frederick in Loudoun County, Virginia and could ride wingman with someone from Frederick into DC and out toward Baltimore. I say wingman as I do not yet have a SOHC 4 to carry IT. I would either ride my naked '77 Old Wing or my '88 VTC800 Shadow. There is quite a nice ride along the Potomac into DC. We could find a nice route up to Baltimore and on to Deleware.

I have been reading the posts and we are heading in the right direction. People are coming together. I came up with this to see if it works with tweaks if course. I figured the Pa folks can more easily get to Port Jervis/Matamoras and the NY and NJ folks can get to Harriman. From there we can head up to Woodstock via 9W. I know the trip from Bear Mountain to Matamoras and it is OK. Rt 80 is pretty mellow above Middletown and a pretty ride through the Mountains. 9W is also picturesque. I throw this up for your consideration. Your comments please.

Bobby,

Does this mean anyone coming from the city should just shoot for meeting at Harrimen, and skip the Times Square stop?  Are we bailing on a NYC visit for the IT?  Just curious.

Whew, I also thought you forgot about us city slickers.  Let me know if you want some help crafting a big map of the Mid Atlantic piece.  I have some resources that can help.

...and Bobby, you're almost at 8,008 posts!  That's my lucky number.

Maybe we should have all the NYC riders post here - so that we can start discussing how/when/where we will meet. Then we will be able to tie that into the overall map/plan.

Doug, if 736 and any others are up for it the Island can be done. We want everyone to be part of this, no one should be left out. What I am seeing emerging is teams of riders in different geographies doing their ride and converging at some points. Those that want to join in on another leg can do so. I would like to roll into Woodstock (Bethel) with as many Brothers as possible. If someone's SOHC can;t make the ride, I will swap bikes with them for a bit, so everyone has a part in this crazy assed whatever it is.  ;D
