I live in Frederick, MD, which is about 30 miles East of Hagerstown. Thurmont is about 15 miles north of me.

I am not sure if my 400F will be finished in time, but I will have my 360 chop. Let me know if I can be of any help. Otherwise, I am definitely just down for the ride.

Justin, got your pm and will try to get items out today.  Hope your bike is finished-IT will be coming by you towards me in SE
PA.  If you need any advice, pm me.  I'm a bit too far to come help but I can help via internet if you need it...Larry

I am in hagerstown md/chambersburg pa area. not sure if that is helpful or not. I reckon not.

Baron, There is somewhat of a void in your area, I am picking IT up at the Ohio/Pa border and heading south east toward Md. I'm hoping to hand IT off somewhere in your general area. If you can help, please let me know.

......................Paul

Sure. Would just need to know where I am taking it from there. Ha.

Hello. MD, DE, NJ, PA people: I'm just catching up on this exciting event. I've been on the forum for years, but not so much lately.

Anyway, Jerry's original map sketch that got published, which I realize is intended to be rough, almost "suggested" that the ride take the ferry from Lewes, DE to Cape May, NJ, then up towards Philly. (The southwestern part of NJ is also rather un-Secaucus like...)

That sounds like a great route. I live smack between Cape May and Philly (Not far from New Jersey Motorsports Park, also a potential photo op -- maybe even a "sighting" lap, if we keep our ducks in a row).

I also know several enthusiastic SOHC4 (and other vintage) riders in Philly itself.

Please accept my late intrusion -- I can help arrange an evening Philly stop/photo op, and the ride leg, whether it comes up from Cape May or stays in DE until Philly....

Who's definitely carrying Godzilla near me?

PM or post here...

Regards,

Jon

Welcome Jon, you are not late at all and you are very welcome. What we must do in fairly short order is rough out a route that the riders are comfortable with. If this were a speed contest, we could just zip the little guy up I-95 and be done with it. the point is not speed but fun.

Everyone riding should have an opportunity to carry Godzilla (IT).  I will say this again we need people in different States to begin talking and working with each other.  I am in NY so I have no idea what a good road to ride in your area is.

With more riders our options are greater and we should leverage this opportunity to maximize the fun and minimize the stress.

Can you folks in DC, MD, PA and South Jersey PM each other and begin collaborating?

This will be a piss if we can pull it off.

Bobby,

There's a route in Maryland and at least one to ride it.  We need dates.  We'l be there when Godzilla gets here.

Thank you for your coordination.

I am told he will be here in June as expected. I am not sure where he is at the moment but I am going to ask Jerry to update us as to where he is so we can get that info to you. There is no reason we can get a route roughed out now and tweak it as the time draws near.

What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

Thanks, IT is still on the move. So far so good. We should still begin to plan how we will move him through our region and have fun doing it. i am starting to look into good places to stop and eat and get some nice pics.

I'm ready for the ride up to Bear Mountain from the GWB. It would be great to meet everyone going up at the overlook along the Palisades.
I hear the weather is bad in the middle of the country. Hope all are ok.

A friend saw this bike in the city today, probably in the LES near Katz Deli.  Anyone going to claim this and ride it in the tour?

I've definitely never seen that one out here in Brooklyn.  We need some little cards to tuck in the seats of SOHCs we see, letting people know about the rally.  :)

Helping out with what?  Were you asking me, or the owner of the bike???

Bobby, do you have a master list of the people participating?  I would be into getting the PM's going with my fellow NYC'ers, but not sure who's who.

Re: Team Mid Atlantic - DEL, NJ, NY, and PA - Test Rides Anyone?

I was wondering if some of you guys would like to do some test rides in your area? It would be a chance to:

Scout out some roads.
Find places to eat.
Get to know some of the people you would be riding with.
Tweak your bike and have it ready for the main event

Any thoughts?

I would definitely be up for that.  Let me know what you're thinking.

My work schedule is a bit weird (weekend included), but it often allows for some good stretches of free time.  I'd love to take a ride ANYWHERE outside the city soon.  2 hours of trying to dodge rush hour traffic yesterday, only to get from 132nd street in Harlem back to brooklyn.  Good grief!

I'd be all for that.  It might be best for me to wait for a full weekend off, which would have to be weekend of the 30th for me.  If that's too long to wait, have a blast, and I'll grab the next one.

With all the cold and snow that the teams have had to go through, might make sense to do the southern route first before coming up north. Maybe the next time they do this, they might consider it.
