I should be back home in Carnation, Wa by 9/16 or so and willing to range far & wide as long as it's off the interstates. So please keep us posted what's happening. I'm looking at this thread to see what the current situation is.

Ofreen and I have been trading phone messages.  Our plan is still to meet up tomorrow around Babb, Montana.  I know a little roadside cafe that I hit on the way to Sturgis this year that has some great pie.

I'll be leaving first thing in the morning to meet Ofreen around 11 am. GZ has been getting antsy here in Calgary, need to get him on the move again!

He has to get there, first!!!! You can help by hammering everyone you know in OR with PM's... Looking at my tattered and torn Atlas, it's about 450 miles to Boise from Portland, 900 miles round trip...

Hand-off to ofreen went smoothly today just south of Babb, Montana.  Great guy and an amazing bike. 2nd leg of the rally for him and his trusty 'F' has over 130,000 miles!

I'll strive to get my photos up this weekend.  I know I've been delinquint in this regard.

ofreen is still looking for the Oregon hand-off as he is on the road now to cover off Wyoming.  Will be in Yellowstone tomorrow I believe.

If people speak up quickly, I can call ofreen with the heads-up and a hand-off might be able to happen before he gets home.  GZ took a long time to get across the Canadian prairies.  Let's try and knock off the last of the lower 48 a lot quicker people!

Don't forget to post in the Rider's Log, it's been dead for 3 weeks now. In fact Jerry should be cracking the whip on these guys to get that updated, I'm jonsing here!

I'm with Tbranth if GZ comes thopugh Seattle on a weekend and he wants to stay off the Interstates I'll ride along. The 550 is running good and has become a daily rider now that summer is finally here. Hopefully he comes through before 9/25 I'll be working solid long days and full 7 day weeks after that.

As Duanob has said, let's get the rider logs ready to post. I have posted in Team Northern requesting their participation updates. Let's give those guys a little more time before you guys get started. I'd like to keep the logs in riding order if possible.

How about a handoff at Maryhill state park south of Goldendale,Wa. We could drive north on US97 and either stay east of the mountains all the way to Oroville and hand off to the BC contingent or cross back to the wet side at Mount Rainier, I90, US 2 or the North Cascades. I'm cutting my goldwing trip to california short to get back for this rally. I can probably be home by wed 9/14. So please let's get specific with times/dates/routes so none of us who want in will miss out.

754 Frank,

We've planned this around your idea for the handoff. When are you going to be able to meet Godzilla and get him on his way to Vancouver? Who else is going to help Frank put the finishing touches on the Relay?

I'm back home.  Yup, your mark fell.  I'll get the details posted when I unwind a little.  Plus I see you want ride reports from riders upstream first, so the pressure is off me.  ha ha

Thanks for the compliment, Kris.  It was a pleasure meeting you and thanks again for bringing GZ all the way down to St. Mary.  It made it easy for me.  I don't pay enough attention to the Bike of the Month thread, but if your bike has never been considered for that, it should be.  A very, very nice piece of work.  And that was a good tip on the cafe.  One of the better burgers I've had lately.  Look us up if you are ever down this way.

sorry i've been away for a bit. You can still count me in to go east to pick up gz from Boise.

Let's get 'er done.  If you are able, we could get the Oregon handoff done this weekend.  I have a good meeting place in mind that would save you some time.  Get ahold of me.

As I said, I'm back home here in the Boise area,  The bike is running great and will be ready to go after cleaning it up a little bit.  There was a lot of construction on the way, especially Logan Pass where they were watering the road to keep the dust down.  Plus hit some rain around Jackson Hole.  It was a great ride, if a little on the smoky side.  (Actually it was smoky a lot.)

OK guys, time to Rally together and get GZ moving. This time of the year the weather can be real iffy as you know. I camped last weekend in the CO Rockies and it was slightly below freezing then it snowed a little the next night after we left. Let's dig everyone up and do some miles and have some fun. Just spoke with Frank aka 754 and he's ready to go! He'll work the border area north and some of BC. We need to get Oregon and Washington in the works. Ofreen has covered over 2200 miles and has broken my record so he's ready to handoff Godzilla asap. You guys need to get with Rat, Frank and Ofreen and connect the dots. Seems we had a lot of guys that wanted to ride the Relay with Godzilla so we have to get in touch with anyone you know. Please let us know what you can do asap. I'll have company coming next week and will be in and out of the mountains until 10/2 so my availability will be limited. Let's make this happen!  :D
