Well, sucks for me, my circumstances have changed, and it seems unlikely I'll be able to take the several day trip I'd planned. I'm holding out hope that I'll be able to do an overnighter, maybe Boise or something to meet G comin in, or up to Seattle, but might have to settle for a handshake as he passes thru town.   :'(

Well, we need to figure out something else then.  It is not too soon to start planning what is to be done in Montana.  I figured you had it covered, so I haven't thought about it lately.  I can try to fill in as needed, but I have to be able to plan because of work.  I can get up to northwestern Montana if needed, I can get it to Wyoming and thru Idaho to Oregon.  That is a lengthy ride that will require time off from work, so I have to be able to plan.  We also have mrlinsky and timidhawk in Montana.  Mrlinsky and timidhawk, what are you guys able to do?  Also, Motorfist and Ringo, where are you able and willing to ride?  Who is going to get it to northwestern Montana from Canada?  Rat400f, if you already have this figured out, my apologies for jumping in the middle.

I had an accident that involved my 66 Coupe DeVille parked on top of my CB500 and a gaping hole in my right thigh 2 weeks ago.  I plan to have my bike fixed in the next couple weeks and/or buy a CB400 Four.  Anyway, I am out from Sept 2 through the 13th.  I will be at the Bonneville GP and then I have to go to Minnesota for work.

As a reminder I am based out of Idaho Falls so I can help with Western Wyoming/Western Montana and Eastern Idaho provided it isn't during the above mentioned dates.

Don't think he's gonna make it into Canada much before that, I'm thinkin he'll be hitting Portland early - mid-Sept...never know tho, he can haul ass when he wants too. Yep...thoroughly bummed, been planning on it from the start. If it was just work, I'd go, but there's a couple wolves at the door, and some beady eyes in the bushes...but I'm still hoping I can run to Boise or more to help get him to Portland. Seattle's not out of the new "plan" either..

Would you be up for a ride to eastern Oregon?

I'll stay in touch once I know what's going on.

Let's see what we can work out when it gets closer.

I'd be able to go into idaho. I've got a month off between august 25 and sept. 25, so as long as my bike doesn't break I'll go wherever.

How'd you know that Glacier is on my wish list?!  ;D That'd be great. Glacier to Yellowstone. 2 of the best sections of road in North America!

So Montana riders, I think it will be myself and possibly DarcyCB400F doing the hand-off from AB to MT.  What border crossing you liking?

If I am going to pick it up, how about Chief Mountain or Carway/Piegan?  Wlorix, will you be in on this?  Anybody else in Montana with a preference?

Are you able to cross the border kap?  I can't, no passport.

Either works.  Just crossed Chief Mountain 2 weekends ago on way to Sturgis, so yep, no issues crossing.  Still have to touch base with DarcyCB400F and also consider photo ops before I commit to a location.

The crossing between Waterton and Glacier was quick and easy for me. Is that Chief Mountain? The hotel at Waterton would be a very welcome photo op for GZ.

Looking like Chief Mountain (Hwy 6 on the Canadian side) is the preferred hand-off from Alberta to Montana.  Nice riding through there and works to add in Gregk from a little further west. Just need to figure out timing now, depending on how long it takes to get out of Manitoba and across Saskatchewan.
