Think I found another set.....
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Suzuki-GSXR-600-750-1000-1300-TL1000-Front-Rotors-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem51969c478aQQitemZ350419175306QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories#ht_500wt_746

I could pm those who said they would pay something my paypal address, then once I get $65 (I'd pay the shipping) I'll buy them. Looks like we have 5 committed so far for $10, anyone else willing to go in on this?

I just want to say that all of the abuse I get from my woman for spending too much time on this forum has been made null and void by this generous support for our comrade.  This is the best.  Merry Christmas to all of you.

IC.  My favorite story about your in-laws was the one about you buying cigarettes for them.  It's a sad story but a good barometric reading on their ilk.
I believe that this bee-hive of support from the forum could turn vengeful if daddy-in-law-dearest decided to mess with your bike.  You meet the nicest people on a Honda but we are still all bikers.  In "his" immortal words:  'I pity the fool!"
"Sure, if you don't want that bike in your backyard, I guess I'll take it."  "I'll probably just scrap it......"

Frankencake:  Brotherhood of the unemployed?  What's our secret handshake?

We are sure these are the right ones right?

Looks like it to me, this is from his fork swap thread. Notice that he used two different rotors to begin with, a matched set should do just fine as long as they're not warped.

OK, here's what you do when you don't have a dime to spare.

First I measured the thickness of the rotors at 1 inch increments.
I started to grind them down with a die grinder and a 36grit roloc disc
Then my bit broke. I rode it around and after I broke my bit and it's better, but not fixed.

here's what's on the bench-
Just so you know, the rotors are different.  One is thinner with 10 bars.
The other is thicker with 8 bars.
probably one hayabusa and one gsxr600. (who cares they're the same size)
I'll end up getting replacements some day, but I want to try this experiment.

the rotors have been remeasured and marked
rotor A- (0.160) has a very thin spot, at least .010'' thinner than the rest of the rotor. ???

rotor B- (.179) has 2 minor thick spots that I still need to work out.

hey everybody, I've been so busy at work, i haven't been online.
This is great! thanks to all the members who chipped in to help. Marla will be taking me to work sooner than I thought now.
I looked at the auction, and they are the right ones.

Interesting you mention that story cupcake-
my in-law family is not the best.
I have tons of ridiculous stories of their shenanigans.
like the one about the breaking and entering/burglary while waiting for my kid at the bus stop.             yeah...
I'm happier to be away from all the manipulation and control that the family provided.

I'm not much for words right now, i'm real tired.
          but really, thanks everybody.

Weeeelllll, unfortunately no  :'(. I messaged the seller as soon as I bought them, not to send them to my address but wait until I gave him Brians, but I guess he had sent them before he saw it. He also said it was a violation of paypal policy to ship to an address not linked with to the buyer, so I guess he couldn't have done it anyways  :-\ ???.  They should be here tmrw and ill get them shipped by Wednesday.

I wondered if that would be an issue. At least if they're trash or poorly packed it won't be Brians problem this way.

Maybe that's something that's come up in the last bit. Because I bought something off of ebay once, a couple or so years ago and had it sent straight to another address, with no problem. But rules might have changed since then, I don't now.  :-\
