CB750K0 VIN plate nuts removal
« on: December 23, 2010, 06:01:10 am »
Hi Guys,

I am working on a CB750K0, and have removed the vin plate.
I was wondering how to get the tiny pieces out of the steeringhead, so I can put in new "nuts"?

Cheers, Rene

I may have made myself not very clear.... 8)
The VIN plate is kept to the steeringhead with some tape, and two pins.

I removed those pins by grinding the head flat, the the VIN plate came of just like that.

Now the left-overs of the pins are still in the head. How do I remove them, so I can put in new ones?

Cheers, Rene

You should be able to drill them out. I put some of those pins you pictured back in my K1, but I can not recall if you could just punch them through or not. Nice looking start on that KO!!!
