I'm guessing we would arrive in JT from AZ around 1:00 PM. From there to Forum Sponsor APE headquarters at Willow Springs is a 3 hour ride, so that would be a very good place to stop for the night. ;) Besides, Godzilla will have traveled almost 400 miles that day, and he needs his R&R time.

Hopefully, the next morning, he will be able to take a lap around the track and a tour of APE, and then ride to SLO after lunch. Should be a 4 hour ride.

Looks good guys. If it works with CB650 Terry we would leave for Grand Junction, CO about noon on Sun 5/1. Get an early start Mon am 5/2 and meet up with Ofreen somewhere south of Salt Lake City.

Ofreen, how's the schedule into Baker looking for you? How does meeting up "somewhere" on 5/2 sound to you? Any thoughts on where? If you headed out from Baker Mon morning 5/2 we could meet at I-70 & US50 or I-70 and US6. That would give us both more miles toward our returns with the I-15 & US6 getting us both farther and preferrable to me. Terry and I can't extend our dates beyond what I've mentioned unless we hold off until the following week.

Looks OK to me.  MrBreeze, just something to keep in mind, if we can make the handoff in Fernley early in the day, it will work better on the Utah end.  Obviously, we are dependent on what happens leading up to the handoff, so will stay flexible.

Looking at the dates I can tag along from Rosamond to San Luis Obispo.  I would just meet up with those coming from Joshua Tree at Rosamond.  you do mean rosamond not Rosalinda correct?   I won't be able to make the SLO to San Francisco ride  :'(.

Yes, it's Rosamond. Mooshie, you should send a PM to Jerry, (our fearless leader  ;)) so you can be added to the official riders list.

Yes, if anyone wants to be added to the rider list that is not already there, please shoot me a PM using the little icon to the left. I can not scan a list of 250 riders every time I think I recognize a name that I just happen upon that may not be on the list.

what's the route from SLO north?
101 would suck but there isn't much gas between Cambria and Carmel on 1... is there?

I'm planning on taking 1. It's 135 miles from SLO to Monterey. I can do that on 1 tank and I know there are gas stations in the Big Sur area. Shouldn't be a problem. A chunk of 1 fell into the ocean down there a couple days ago but it should be fixed in time for the ride. My plan is to ride down on Thursday and camp at a state park, maybe Montana de Oro, and then roll into SLO to meet the SoCal crew the next morning or maybe stay wherever they are that night and then roll back to Pacifica on Friday.

Anyone have plans for Thursday night in SLO yet?

I have confirmed with track management that you guys can take a lap around the big track. They said "unescourted" if you promise not to hot lap it.

Any idea how many?

EPIC!  I guess we could make time to jet over there.  I've only been on the Streets of Willow (small track) and it was in my Audi.  I think it would be between 4-6 of us?

Oh, I am so in on this. Just have to restrain myself from doing a hot lap.
Crap, I am getting genuinely excited about this!!!!!

Big Jay comes through for HIS guys. It's these bikes that got him to be the #1 SOHC4 guy in the world. If any of you guys miss this opportunity I'd have to say you're nuts!  ;) AND, we'd best have an APE pictorial with Jay and Godzilla working their magic on the equipment as well as the little ride around the raceway. Hell, you guys are soooo lucky! Many of us have never seen a race track like that.

Jay, You should see my cylinders on Wednesday via UPS. I got the call that you have the sleeves already. The pistons have a slight nick or two which I'm expecting to be ok. Hopefully you'll be able to get to them soon.

I'm hoping you guys can still stay on schedule to hand off in Reno on the same date?? Keep those laps to a minimum  ;D  ;)Team Central Rockies needs to pick up Godzilla from Ofreen on Mon 5/2 in Utah. Otherwise it'll be another week for us and Ofreen will have to ride home to ID then back to UT the next week, plus we don't get no steenkin track time.  ;)

SLO-Bay Area-Reno in one day? Sounds a bit ambitious. No possibility of a weekday handoff in Fernley?

Ya know.......theres lots of miles between now and when the ride hits us so its really hard to say if we can go by these dates. I've been sweatin' bullets about goin' over the pass early in the year (the rain....ya' know). Not me ....the bike so I'm thinkin' I may just throw my stock airbox back on....drop my mains back down a coupla notches and throw the front fender back on. Last time I got stuck in the rain.....started runnin' like poo after 10-20 miles so I'm sure I was suckin' some H2o thru the pods!!! Anyhow.....I hope everything stays close to the schedule we have laid out and everyone gets to take the ride that they plan to take......I'm already thinkin'...so far so good!!!!!
