andy750: Glad you agree! I've run the idea past a couple people and we all keep coming up with Evan's Notch. Hurricane Mountain might not be for everyone (honestly, I won't take a bike down that road, but I've also seen some really messed up bike accidents there... half of it is in my coverage area) but it's definitely on the way. This is all in my back yard, actually. Hurricane Mountain is half a mile from me, Evan's Notch is about 15 minutes.
As for accommodations, like I said, the chains in North Conway, or maybe Jockey Cap in Fryeburg are all good. But once again, just call ahead for Jockey Cap. It's really not bad at all, and though I've never been inside the rooms, I haven't heard any complaints. It's not like it used to be. There really aren't many other places in the area to stay, besides bed & breakfasts and fancy hotels. If anyone wants to spend $119 for a night, the White Mountain Hotel is ridiculously awesome. That's probably where all the racers would be staying, maybe you could punch Travis Pastrana in the nose. There's tons of camping around, like Evans' Notch like andy said, or one of the eight billion places on the Kank.
