Thanks for all of you that put it all on the line in that crappy weather. GZ has made it to DC and he took in some sites.

Well I finally got around to posting my ride log with pictures.  today I'll  check to see if my mini DVR worked or not....it was giving me some problems and was locking up like a windows based computer. has to pull the battery to even get it to turn off. I might have a stuck button or something simple like that. If I got anything, I'll run it through the editor and post it up. It was a great time and great weather and great people that made it special for me.  Thanks ALL and Great Job Ohio !

TEAM CENTRAL KICKS ASS!!

Great ride guys. You make it happen.

Don R - thanks for assuming the role and filling in the blanks when we couldn't get any riders to commit. GREAT to meet ya too!  ;)

As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

More pics from the stretch from KS to MO...

Shortly after the last picture was taken, we were doing the "Holy ($%$! I hope we find a gas station soon" routine...

Great ride, thanks again Team Central.

We had mostly crappy weather and an unusual (it seems to me) amount of similar mechanical issues (misfiring pairs of cylinders). I am definitely targeting the mid-July Michigan-Wisconsin loop to get in some good miles in some good weather.

Thanks, Doug for posting the pictures. You might check your lens for a defect because I'm just sure my gut's not that big.  :o  Seriously, thanks. ( I did ask for delivery on my new weight bench, it's time to start weight training and walking again) maybe it wasn't the lens.

Jerry, A big thanks to you for all your hard work. I can't tell you how much difference it makes having met even just a few of the fine folks that frequent this site. I am impressed with the younger guys and have a new appreciation for the 650's.

The local sport bike guys heard about the ride and invited me to tag along with them saturday. I couldn't because I had a drag race. Now they're even more impressed.

A brief side note, this riding can be contagious, Bud (my brother) bought another bike tonight, it's a K1 custom with an 836 kit. I remember this bike from the previous owners as far back as 73-74 to now and it's beautiful. I even know the guy that built the engine. It has extended forks but he has an F3 parts bike to rob the double disc front end from. It does need new rear lights, they came from a farm store.??? He has called almost every day since the tour wanting to ride somewhere.
He is with the orange flake 750 in the pictures above.

It was deja vu all over again today. I took a friend to 3 Floyds and it was raining steadily. At least I was ib a car this time and it was 75 and not 45.

It was a spur of the moment thing with a good friend in from out of town. But next time I am down that way I will definitely give you a call.

Keep an eye on the forum, RF.  We already have Ohio riders in Cinci, Dayton, Toledo & Cleveland. Final dates & routes to be decided, but Lefty should be coming from Indiana, so a ride thru Cinci is looking good!
Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

Thanks to our trip there last year, I was able to make up all sorts of lies to my friends in advance of last weekend's visit.

So when's Godzilla gracing Illinois again?  Gotta take more pics this time.  Last year was a bit tough.  It was hard to take pics of anything with wet, frozen gloves.  Remember the toll plaza, Don?

Here's a to a warmer reception for Godzilla in 2012.

I do remember the toll plaza. Everytime my hands hurt. I had just had surgery on both hands last year, they are much better now. I can even play some guitar tunes that caused locked fingers before.
I mostly think of the fun parts of the ride, not the cold and rain.
