Waah!!!  where did my post go?  OK, I'll do it again. I'm not ignoring you guys, I'm trying to get my bike and race car work all done and have been tied up in the shop and sponsor meetings.

It seems the Pa handoff is worked out? Just routing along the way. I can make an executive decision if you need me to. With all the Indiana and Ohio riders there I was hoping people would just join in and drop out as it suited their desire and time constraints. If I afford the motels I'd just ride it all from Topeka to Pa.

Maybe I'm assuming too much. Are some of the chicago riders interested in the chicago-indy ride or are you guys planning on riding with the wisconsin group? I am thinking of a stop in Pontiac at the RT66 museum on my way from St. Louis to Chitown. Let me know sometimes I'm a little slow on picking up a hint.

Democracy is very messy. It seems Ohio pretty flexible on getting IT to Paul in western PA (Pittsburgh). What Ohio needs to know is what Indianna can do -- seems Indainapolis is a rally point, but from there, where to Ohio? Cincinnati has been mentioned, but Dayton  or Toledo are also on the table for Ohio to work out it's route. Can we hear from Indianna, please?

I'm guessing Ron (mcrider) would be good for some advice-direction. as for routes in Indiana the farther north and east the more flat and boring the ride, with that said St.marys would be good and is farily central Ohio, it would be on the north end of where I would want to go, maybe Greenville and there are some nice riding around Oxford?

It don't really matter, where do they want to pick it up?

Right now, I don't think that anything is set in concrete. The route will need to include all that wish to participate. Wouldn't want to leave anyone out now would we? A lot depends on who is available and where they can ride. I wouldn't' be surprised if a lot of things change as we go along.

Hi, Bomber, been wondering when you might check back in. I saw your early post on Indy to Cincy. It's still very much an option, but there have been five more pages posted since then so the folks up north have been connecting with us down south figuring out how to make it work for everyone, including the handoff in Pennsylvania. Are you open to other options if it comes to that? Say doing a handoff from Indianna in Dayton and going to Columbus, or maybe even Toledo? Please stay tuned for develpments and chime in.

Do you recall we met at the British bike meet last fall?

Thats exactly the leg i was looking to do, maybe more. Looking forward to what other chicago/NW IN riders are thinking.

I'm kinda wide open.  After I was perusing Pennsylvania, I had this notion that we really have some "less interesting" riding than other parts of the country.  I may end up attempting some "bonus miles" North or East to get a better "view".

Hey, Central Team,

I've sent the following message to other team leaders but since this my "home team" I thought I'd just post here and look for people who can help out with an assignment I have. And DonR, tried sending to you as PM but you don't come up in members.

Hi, Everyone,

I'm forum member Popwood and have been given a green light by editor Richard Backus of Motorcycle Classics magazine to contribute regular ride news and updates to the magazine web site in the form of a blog. This may or may not evolve into a magazine article as the ride ends, but it very well may.

I'm contacting you as regional leader to see if you could help me with some details that will get the ball rolling for ride the publicity opportunity with Motorcycle Classics. What I need are some members of your ride team who can feed me information and good photos (or decent photos) about their leg of ride. I'd like to get something for every state and province. I'd need to get the material in a timely framework, within a couple days of a given "legs" conclusion as I intent to post updates to the blog at least twice a week if not more frequently.

Just so you know, I'm simply volunteering to do this and my goal is to just get the word out about the ride specifically and the forum in general.

Can you help me out?  I'd really appreciate hearing from you, especially those whose regions are starting in a week, very soon.

Should you want to call me, my cell phone is 513 304-3735. I'm in Eastern time zone.

Thanks for your help.

Popwood, I'd be happy to help. I can do pics and info for Illinois and possibly Mo. I'm betting some of the guys will chime in here for other parts of our area!

Hand surgery next week. Doc says I should be good to go. Hope he's right.

Thanks, Don, good stuff from Illinois will be important, both rural and city. Coverage from every state is what we need 'cause this whole ride is about EVERY state. Let's hear from the rest of of the crew!!

For those riding in Ohio, was wondering if the AMA Museum in Columbus would be good stop and rally point? I haven't visited the museum myself. Anyone have thoughts on this? Sure, it all depends on the route, but everything depends on the route.

I won't be riding in Ohio, but if at all possible the Museum would be a great stop. It  is very accessible and the staff are usually pretty accommodating.

For all the Indy riders, maybe we should set up the track in Speedway as a rallying point? Seconds?

I probably won't get that far but that's what I was thinking. Easy to find too! Maybe a museum stop.
