IndyFour, we've heard nothing from Brown Bomber for probably 2 months. I send him a PM and got nothing back. And I'll grant you a ride to Cincy is probably a lot better than Dayton. Just Sunday I went up 52 to Brookville, IN. Nice ride.

So let me propose this:

Indy to Cincinnati. Overnight.
Next morning, Cincy to Columbus (perhaps via Rt. 50 and 23). Stop at AMA Museum mid-day.
Afternoon, leave Columbus via 23 N. to Findlay area for handoff to Masterchief for Overnight in Toledo area. (Alternate, another northern route --not I-71) that allows Masterchief to meet up with Columbus riders and continue on to Cleveland same day).
Next day, Masterchief takes IT to Cleveland area for handoff.
Next day Cleveland hands off in Sharon, PA.

Current Rides:
1975 cb550K
1975 cb750K
1967 Bridgestone 350GTR

Past Rides:
1988 400 Hawk
195? Schwinn Whizzer

Whoever is going to ride north from Columbus, should plan on hitting Mid-Ohio.....I am putting out the feelers to them for a lap around the track (with onboard video). Has anyone touched base with the ama museum in Pickerington? Probably needs to be done if not. Hope to have some kind of answer on the track run in a week or two.

Does anyone remember where our fearless site admin, Glenn Stauffer, is picking up the ride in PA?

Chris here from Indy checking in.

@ GammaFlat:  as I understand it, you are picking up in/around Chicago and planning to ride to Indy (or further)?

Maybe if we have an Indiana "midpoint" set somewhere in Indy for those riders here in and around the city (me included) can join up....I think the Indy Motor Speedway was thrown out there earlier as a possibility.  That would make for a good photo op and is easy to get to being on the West side of the city.

Yes - My notion is to get IT in Chicago-ish.. hopefully meet Don R and others, then go down to Indy.  Depending on dates (and how many flowers I buy for my wife), I'd like to go West and rendezvous with Don R somewhere in Illinois.  My brother would like to be a support vehicle and as I mentioned last page, zzPete is up for support vehicle duty.

There are a bunch of Chicago-land members.  I'm not hearing much from them?!

Present, here. etc.  I'd definitely try and meet up west of Chicago.  As far as Near vs. In Chicago, I'm for whatever.  Chicago is sort of a time-suck as far as traffic.  But a photo-op with some tall buildings in the background is easily achieved without getting too close.

Just waiting until it gets sooner and more definite.

Still here. I'm in for the Chicago-ish to Indy(and return trip). I thought meeting at Joliet speedway sounded pretty cool, then through chi(depending on time of day, traffic) all the way to Indy. And then back, which I havnt heard anyone mention. Same way? Or different route? I'm pretty flexible on days so I'll leave the specifics to others, but I'm road worthy ready and willing!!

Chicagoland folks:

Isn't there something cool we could do in terms of photo opportunities like lions in front of buildings, some famous fountain, Soldier's [sic] Field or some crazy Spaniard's rusting art?.... or how about a cheeseburgy, cheeseburgy, cheeseburgy?  Wouldn't a handful of CB750's sound nice on lower Michigan or Wacker?

I guess I'm willing to fight traffic some to get a neat picture or two.  If you guys are game, I am :).

Maybe recreate Elwood Blues run down Wacker drive!  Cop cars crashing, being chased by Henry Gibson in a pinto!  Trashing the Cook County Assessor's office.  MAN that would be SO COOL!!

No thanks.  I hate city riding, especially downtown Chicago.

Anyone know if I can move the rider list from page 2 to the new location?

As the author, you can delete any post.  Make a copy of what you want to move (put it in notepad or something for momentary safe keeping), then put it in the new post.  Did I understand the question?

Why not start a new Rider List topic under Team Central and I will lock it &/or sticky it for you? That way you can keep it clean with just the list and you can do updates when necessary??

With my question about moving the rider list I was posting in the middle of the upgrade muddying up things a bit. I see now, all is well, except I can't edit. Jerry?

Don,

I had it locked hoping that YOU, the originator, would be the only one that could post to that topic to keep it with just the schedule. Guess not however. Maybe you could lock it on your end since my experiment was bogus  ;) That is if that's what you'd prefer. Still learning on my end. It's unlocked now. Sorry. I'll buy you a beer in Topeka  ;D

Chicago guys, If it all works out, on my final day I'd like to leave Galesburg, go north to Rt 84 past the quad cities and Cordova drag strip and take the Lincoln highway east with a detour at dixon up Il. rt 2 to the state park with the giant Chief Blackhawk statue. Past Byron Dragway, Then back to Rochelle and follow the lincoln hwy. to St. Charles for a Hot Dog, Then on to wherever we hand off at. Depending on the date maybe RT66 raceway at Joliet.

 See  WWW.drivelincolnhighway.com

Thanks Jerry, I locked it! Maybe I could before I just didn't know how!

Everyone check the rider list and if I've missed anyone or have errors let me know. Ohio has 15 possibles, outstanding! looks like good times ahead.
