BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH!!!
« on: March 22, 2006, 04:36:57 PM »
Sorry I have not been participating lately. Been overly busy with the gauge faces and the getting into a commercial location. Have had killer scores that I have not posted like a CB 900 Custom for $150. A 74 CB 750 Chopper that runs for $125 (the motor for my K5 soon), Kz 750 twin for $50 that did not hang out longer than 50 minutes before I sold it for $150 making the CB 900 possible.  ;D

Business sucks when it eats all your time. But the money is good  ;D ;D

Insanity is about right, getting the taxes finished, getting into a legal LLC situation as well as a legit dealership status. and the list goes on and on, but it is all good.  ;D Anyway the K5 will be back and running this week if I can help it. Hate to break down the chopper because it is there for the most part. Really sick but really done nice. Who ever did it welds better than I ever have  ;) :D

For day?! Skip one call and see what happens. LOL  ;D It's all good. Not skipping a phone call today made the 74 CB 750 Chopper that has all the goodies and another score on a cb 650. Two bikes one day not bad.  ;D

I see you got the K1 and some Cafe dials listed on your eBay site. Any idea about (aboat, aboot, abowt) when some others may come out?

The only thing holding up the gauges is the colors. I want them perfect. The lettering is better than O.E. These make O.E. gauges look like bad knock offs. The O.E. lettering was fuzzy, not these. These are razor sharp. I should have the colors for the gauges right in the next week. Funny thing is that for the most part CB 750 gauges have not changed very much over the years. All of the increments are about the same. Really with exception of the beam, oil, etc lights all early 750 gauges are the same and it looks like after K3 they changed to include more numbers. The blue will be easy but that damn frog green will be the death of me  >:(. Black was easy.  ;D. I have a set of Blue face that will work ok. Does anyone have any of those frog green ones? If so mailing me a physical photo would be very helpful.

I am thinking that seeing that the market provides it- $1300 minimum. I had to do a frame off swap on it so this makes up for my time.

ElCheapo,

I have a green 550 gauge apart, should be the same colour I suppose. I'll take a picture of it and get it off to you.

Hey ElCheapo-

In doing the gauge faces, have you thought about replicating the faces used in the later CB550's? (the ones that always warp into a potato chip?) I've been working on flattening the faces back out, but replacements would sure be nice...

Just a thought.
