Traditional christmas movies

What is the tradition at your house?

Back to the future at mine. Scrooged usually makes a good one too.

I like my women a little big. Natural. Now, they shave this and wax that. It's not right. I love natural women. Big women. This trend in women has to go. Bulomia, anorexia. That's just wrong. You know what will cure that? My special sticky buns. One lick of my sticky buns and your appetite will come right back. ~ RIP Mr. Borgnine  01/24/1917 - 07/08/2012  :'(

There's nothing like xmas with the Griswolds....National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation gets my vote. If you have to deal with a dysfunctional family during the season, and who doesn't, then you should see this movie. I usually watch it no less than a week before xmas to get myself ready...

My new Christmas tradition movie that I discovered just
last year is "A Smokey Mountain Christmas", starring
Dolly Parton. Made in the 80's and about as stupid as that era,
the movies most redeeming feature is of course Dolly.
A testament to the costuming industry, Dolly's wardrobe
must be seen to be believed. She appears to be upholstered
rather than just fitted with clothes. Amazing. Also, there are
orphans and Lee Majors and a witch.

Bikes parked out front mean good chicken-fried steak inside.

We've got several. Christmas Story has been on a marathon for several years and we always watch it several times. Also like Christmas Vacation, Several of the Scrooges Allister Sims s the best, Miracle on 34th st. (1st & last version, never cared for the 2nd one), It's a Wonderful Life, The Santa Clause, Santa Claus The Movie, I'm sorry, I just like most all of them. 2 I haven't seen for a while are "Te House Without A Christmas Tree" w/ Jason Robarbs and "It Came Upon A Midnight Clear" w/ Mickey Rooney. It would probably be easier for ME to name the ones I DIDN'T like.  ::)

For me it's a Christmas Story and It's a Wonderful life.  I could watch those over and over (and I do!).  My friends and family could probably act those two movies out if we had too (and there was enough hooch!).
