WOW, just browsing newly  listed item last night and I saw this!!! I looked at the clock counter and I was The THIRD person to view it.......READ IT AND WEEP!!!
IF this is correct, (and judging by the location etc, I reckon it is ASHrod in Kent is rather er..well posh! )
Then what an item. GET YER WALLETS OUT LADS, these come up once in THIRTEEN lifetimes ha ha.  COR, whos got that sort of cash handy?
But what an item, what a bike, what a piece of history...........
Look at those frame numbers and engine numbers!!!!
weep, weep weep.
In my own experience...
It wasn't a Previous Owner who didnt know what he was doing that messed up your bike, it was The Previous owners mate who THOUGHT that HE did.

"Genuine not replica"..."HAS TAKEN MANY MANY YEARS OF VERY HARD WORK TO TRACE ALL THE GENUINE PARTS TO  COMPLETE THIS PROJECT" ???

Too bad he didn't post pictures.  And I wonder what he means by:
"THERE IS A HUGE AMOUNT OF GENUINE WORKS HONDA INFO WITH THIS PROJECT"

Yep, many, many, years, Honda sold about twenty five (I believe) 970 kits, and immediaetly tried to get them all back! of course they didn;t manage it.....I believe each kit cost approx 30,000 $$
And consisted of around two-hundred parts to fit to your bike, from the crank to the wheels and everything inbetween including footrests!  I read a guys website that had spent five years searching for these parts and money was NOT an issue!
There would indeed have been much info that came with the kit.
If he has spent years collecting a full kit ( and this would be, read;" IMPOSSIBLE" now, Then obviousely he didnt start off with a full kit himself, therefore, he would have got "a bit here" "a little there" and he may at some stage (at a guess of course) come to meet someone who had a few parts with the original info maybe?

Never had a clue about the '970 kit'.  I thought it was just a reference to a generic overbore to larger cc's.  And too bad he's not feeling generous with some scan donations to the site of just a little bit of his info...

It sounds like this guy has found a lot of race kit parts and is offering them with a old sand cast motor and frame.
It would seem you would have to then convert the road bike into a racer, as people did in the day.
This makes the finished bike a genuine CB750R.

I wonder what it's worth built up and running? Old race bikes are pretty pricey, I've never seen a genuine CR750 or properly kitted CB750 sold, but TZ750s and RG500s are making well over £10k, (there's an RG on Ebay at the minute for £20k even), while stuff like Manx's and G50s make huge money, and no doubt an RC166 would be a fortune. Of course a race bike's history makes a huge difference to the price, especially International wins and/or famous riders.
