Tug, I can meet up with you guys at the exit 1 overpass (there is a small gas station there) when you are coming into Ardmore on the 15th and ride with you for a while. If you can, give me an ETA when we get closer to the ride date. Any idea how many are going to be riding on this leg? Do you plan on stopping at the Space and Rocket Center and getting a pic with the Saturn 5 rocket/SR-71/Space Shuttle?

Hey, Silverback, I've been following your ride plans and glad to see you will have some company. From what I see you are undertaking one of the most grueling parts of the relay/rally/ride so far, taking on the WV mountains this time of year. I'm doing a regular blog on Motorcycle Classics web site about the ride and really want to do some coverage of your leg/participation in this. I'll send you a PM via the forum here so we can be in touch.
Current Rides:
1975 cb550K
1975 cb750K
1967 Bridgestone 350GTR

Past Rides:
1988 400 Hawk
195? Schwinn Whizzer

Hey, Ryan.  Barber's in Leeds around 4:00 in the afternoon Friday, April 15th.  Can get you a camping spot there if needed.  No definite time to leave on Sat, but we will probably meet for breakfast in the morning, (Laney's in Leeds has a good buffet breakfast) and then start west as a group.  We'll set up the Sat AM ride so everyone has a carry and place in the log book.  This will be a great event!  Looking forward to seeing everyone.

I leave for ft rucker the 3rd ( from ks ). My only real chance at maybe getting to ride is to try to meet the guys sometime the 3 or 4th where ever they may be.

Ryan,

What will you be flying? Godzilla like to fly. Maybe we can get him a little flight time  ;) He is very patriotic from what I understand.

Hey guys, I missed out on riding my bike on the leg from Atlanta to Savannah because of a bad ignition the night before we left, so can I join your team so I can have the real honor of  carrying Motozilla? My bike would be so honored! I'm not sure if I can get over there on Friday, good chance I will, but if I can't, me and possibly Bluto and Travi will meet you all for breakfast,  and probably ride most of the way if not the whole way to Jackson. We'll have to head back to Atlanta on Sunday, which I think is an all day ride from Jackson. This may be my only chance it gets this close to me.

Ryan, are you entering basic flight school or going through a transition course? I spent a lot of time at Rucker when I was on active duty and now that I am a DAC I spend a lot of time there for work with the Aircraft Survivability Equipment office. you'll like the area, lots of good roads to ride. If your a snowbird (there without a classdate for a while) let me know and I will see if I can get you a good job instead of cutting grass or picking up trash  ;D

Roll call for Kentucky riders. There are a few people that were interested in making the ride to WV or TN. We are going to try and meet sometime later this week and map our routes (While having beers!). Just wanted to get a head count on who was interested in joining the rides and who might be interested in meeting up somewhere close to the Lexington area.

Currently: Me (75 CB750), Ben (Friend on 78 CB750F), Big Blue and Magnaman.

Any updates?

Well, we couldn't arrange a meeting last week. I'll try to get a time pinned down for this week with Big Blue (Final 4!!!) and get back with you. Were you going to make the WV trip with us, too?

Even though I don't like any of the teams in the final four, I hope Kentucky wins.  My jayhawks sure folded up and died.

Tugboat,
Do you guys have a time set when you want to meet in Russel Springs? Just trying to get everything coordinated on this end. We moved the ride to WV to Sunday (9th) in interest of better weather. So far, the weekend of the 9th looks to be a nice one.

The 9th is a Saturday? That was the day we were planning on coming up to KY. So are you saying that we'd need to come up on Sunday (10th) then? Let me know and I'll coordinate with Ray & Jason et al. Thanks SB!

Hey Guys and Gals!

I'm trying to update the ride calendar once again.  I have a question on your ride from Barber's at Leeds, AL to Van Buren, AR.  As I read it, you'll leave Leeds on the morning of the 17th, head to Jackson, MS, catch maybe Tallulah, LA then head up to Van Buren, AR.

Is that the plan?  That's like 700 miles in one day!
Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

I think that we (AR riders) are meeting up in LR to pick up Godzilla. Then, we're heading to Van Buren.
