Well I got some good miles in today.  I was hoping they would all be uneventful, but I still seem to have a small fuel problem.  I think it's releated to the tank vent not working right (or at all for that matter).  Might pull the carbs again just to check the floats, but I think all will be well if I can get the vent cleaned and working.  Hopefully I can still head out wednesday, we shall see....

Got my 350f back from the mechanic friday but this is the first time i have had time to post.  It is working great..  new tires, carb rebuild ready willing and able for the pick up on the 17th in Little Rock.  I too feel like i just got a late Christmas present.  on top of that my buddy and I rebuilt the carb on that Sportster I bought and got it running and rode it home (120 miles) from his house.  It was just a GREAT weekend.. but I think next weekend with the relay will top it..

Cant wait til Sunday for the Little Rock pick up.

Great work guys! Just think, you guys did 300+ miles on these old bikes in just 1 day with no problems while many of our guys are afraid to get out on the road. I look forward to a good story. Rest well and get ready for Barbers. Give Godzilla a shot of Patron on me  :D

It was good to meet y'all! Glad you made it home OK. We had a really nice ride today, also. Although my bike didn't make it on the second leg, it was really great to participate and get out for some good riding with friends and make a few new ones along the way, as well.  All in all, we did about 260 miles today.

Sorry about the delay in posting the blog/log .....
This week was crazy with trying to get my bike going again and making up the time spent in trying to do so. I have the log written (first leg), but still have to edit in the pictures.

Well done Gents!  And what an AWESOME day for a putt too!!

As I read it, the ride from Lex to the handoff was 167 miles (half of the 334 round trip).  And from the handoff to Nashville, 130 miles (half of the 260 round trip).

If that's correct, then there were 297 Zilla-Miles traveled on Sunday!  If those numbers are right, then I'll update the schedule showing the actual date and the actual miles tonight.

I think that it was more like 110 from Lexington yesterday (260 total). We took the long way home!

144 miles from 3 Crow Bar, Nashville TN to Lake Cumberland KY. Add another 5 miles for the road in the park down to the marina. That road was some of the best five miles I've ever ridden! More details to come.....

Hey guys,

I know I'm chiming in a bit late.  I see that ya'll will be in Monroe on 4/16.  I lost all electrics yesterday while rolling down the highway yesterday, so I'm trying to chase the culprit.  I hope to make the ride if I can beat the clock.

We also have a Blessing of the Bikes down here in Denham Springs that I was hoping to make on the 16th.  Might not make that either, depending on if I can find the culprit.  Monroe will be a 4 hr trip for me.

Hope

Hey, Team South, anybody posting logs and photos from your team? Would like to catch up for the Motorcycle Classics blog I'm doing with regular updates. Tugboat, Silverback and you all, would like to hear/see about your rides from both WV to Lexington and this past weekend's handoff at Lake Cumberland and trip to Music city. Send me a PM if you like and we can talk on the phone, no problem.

Great to see things progressing here and you all are doing a terrific job. Let's get the story out about how much fun this is! Let me hear from you. And that includes you lucky devils who are doing the Barber thing.

I have a full time job, I'm also a painter and part time fabricator. Everything is very backed up right now. I'm going to really try and get the pictures downloaded this evening and I'll shoot you an email, and post it up.

Sounds like we've got Birmingham covered as far as a place to stay, handoff, etc? All at Barber?

So what's the deal with Jackson, MS? Where do y'all want to meet up on Saturday 4/16? Maybe the state capital bldg?

What time are you anticipating events at the Barber museum going down?  How about a breakfast time / location?  I would like to make it over there from Atlanta.

Thanks.

Hey guys, just an FYI, there are supposed to be thunderstorms in the Huntsville area Friday. What time do you guys think you will be at the state Line? I'd like to meet up with you and ride a while. I can't go all the way to Barber but I can go for a while.
