Last ride for 2010
« on: December 30, 2010, 11:55:56 PM »
So with my clutch cable replaced Jaffa and I set out on a days riding to kiss goodbye to 2010.
First stop gas station as I've been doing quite a bit of solo riding lately and the tank is near empty.
We headed out into the hills out back of the city, plenty of twistie bits and some great views, angled back to town and then along the waterfront.
Jaffa's little 400 twin rumbling along happily just behind my 650, then stopped at a harbour side cafe for lunch and coffee.
I still smile at this but as every SOHC4 owners knows, when you stop your bike "they will come. ;D
Sat eating lunch while passing walkers admired the old cop bike, togged up again and followed the sea until we got to the highway again, lots of holiday traffic and Jaffa isn't yet that comfortable with idiots in tintops especially the out of towners who seem to have no idea where they are going! ;)
Found some nice long back straights to open the bike up and then the cheeky #$%* passed me, I flipped the siren and lights switch on and gave chase ha ha ha what a buzz.
Anyhow then we tootled home and wiped the grins off our faces.
To all on this site, enjoy your last ride for 2010 and looking forward to many more in 2011...Hush & Jaffa in New Zealand. :)
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

It's probably already New Years Day in "Un Zud" as I type this Hushy, so Happy New Year mate, and to everyone else here too! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)
