Thought I'd give this sorry thread some love. Lol
Haven't touched the bike in weeks. Been recovering from surgery, laying low and resting a lot. Felt pretty good this weekend thought I'd throw these 130 main jets in.. Getting close to where I like it.

Made a quick vid:

Bike looks and awesome!

Looks like you ended up throwing one of those 12" shorties on? If you dont mind me asking, which one did you go with? Ive been looking at the DCC one, Lossa Engineering one, and the one they sell on CycleX. Not sure if there is a difference between them all. The sound of yours is nothing short of  :o. I know its loud, but is it overly loud? Its always hard to tell on a video.

Rest up, hope you get riding again soon!

I will chime in here for a sec.... Those cone exhausts are all from Cone Engineering. For the best price just get it directly from them.

SPOT ON!!!

I was going to state the same but you beat me to it...... I had this setup on my 550F. It was great. Easy to tune as you will have to rejet... Loved it... I will try to find my post of it running.

I'm running the 12" stainless open shorty from Cyclex.
I'm sure they are all more or less similar.

I am now running a baffle (inside the header) intended for Vance & Hines Harley exhaust... Not so much to knock down the DB but to re-create some back pressure and level off fuel=air mixture. Helped tune it in a bit better.. And it's still ridiculously loud... They can't see ya, but they sure can hear ya!!! Hahaha

Pretty quiet in Olivia's world this winter. Garage is packed tight with few other bikes to keep her company. But no big builds on the go.

So picked up a little winter project for my self. Bought a RootBeer flava Torc helmet. Thought I would try some lacing and gold leafing. This is how it looks so far. Still have to letter and pinstrip it before clear coating.

Looking good Cam. Where are you getting it cleared? Do you have a place in town?

If you can, I would suggest getting a small piece of sheet metal. Coat it with all the layers of materials you have on your helmet. Some of the paint you used (all colors), some of the gold leaf and some of the glue you used for the gold leaf. So you or your guy can spray clear over the test piece. A lot of clears do funny things when it comes to coating over differing materials. I would hate to see all that very nice hand work get ruined.

thanks Kenny.

there's a guy I know in our neck of the woods that does custom murals and airbrushing cars, helmets etc.. he's offered to clear it next time he's spraying clear for another guy. keep it on the down low than firing up the gun just for one helmet.

Yah I guess it would be a pain mixing up the clear for one small helmet.

Ill have to pop in someday soon for a beer and to check that baby out.
