Well not a lot to update this week. Started a new job and dis bunch of training programs. Olivia didn't get much love unfortunately. But i did finish making the new unifilter adaptor plate to the 650 air plenum box. I found this idea to work the best on the 550 motor. Easier to tune and balance the air volume across the four carbs.

Used the same concept idea for the 650 plenum. Put that Gorilla double sided tape between the box and the adaptor plate to seal it good. Kinda over board on the bolts. But i thought it needed some bling bling. Lol clear coated the steal for that raw look. I think it'll work just fine. Haha.

Cb750k carbs. Mated you to the cb650 intake manifolds and the cb650 plenum air box with my unifilter modification.
Throttle carbs and choke cable hooked up. All seems to move smoothly. One step ahead.

Thankfully I'm using a tablet and not the desktop. Bike looks awesome. Seems to be more people stuffing the 650 into the 550 frame. Very cool.

Thank you.
Yeah. The cb650 was more or less a fugly duckling of a bike. But the motor was better and of course more power than the 550. Plus, the 650 and the 550 shared the same motor mounts so swapping frames is a synch.

Speed holes... Just because. Lol

Many many years ago. I saw a wicked triumph flat track bike. Speed holes everywhere and cross drilled through the fins. I always been a fan of that look. So I gave it a try on the 650. Turns out theres a lot of aluminum supports between the fins so i ended up being limited to size, placement and amount of holes. But its fun. Lol

Tricky,
Check out flybox1's response in the new thread.  He's got a great handle on carb tuning.  You can give him more detail and he can help you troubleshoot.

I could go on and on and on, on various reasons and how to's for carb issues. But that thread they forward you onto will and should answer your questions Tricky. Lol please don't take it as me brushing you off. If you don't find the answers you are after. Come back. We'll see what we can come up with.

Side note. No big progress to report. I was waiting on carb rebuild kits to show up. Ha! Funny.. Carbs again.. Lol while i was waiting for them. My new head lamp came. Although stupid me. I didn't take note when I ordered the buld it needed a head lamp bucket assembly for a h4 type bulds. Lol looking around, I decided I really wasn't happy with most modern 7" buckets. They look cheap. For the most part. Seemed shallower than stock buckets.

Then I found a cool 7" buld that fits stock 7" buckets that have h4 buld mounts. Bingo!

So today my carb kit and h4 head lamp buld assembly came. I can make a few more steps closer to the finish line. The
