Hahaha! That would be an interesting idea. But i doubt that'll hold back the oil pressure.
It looks like your oil lines are preventing the ring from sliding in far enough to mate with the engine.
Couldn't you just position the elbows so that it sits in the bottom instead of on top. From how you explained the oil cooler adapter is too narrow. Could you put a washer on the bolt so that it pushes it more on the case?
Interesting. Mine is for a 550 as well and I was able to run it on a 650. I also run the elbows on the bottom and found no problems doing so. Sent from my LG-H812 using Tapatalk
