Been a long time since I've been on here.. LOL

well... yesterday I had some fun with Olivia. Been building a cb750 brat-tracker for a friend. He picked up a 12" shorty. Wide open baffle. From cyclex.
Soooo sexy!! But I was curious how it would sound on my 550. The video does NO justice to how loud and deep she sounds.. I went for a burn around my hood. My friend stayed at my place.. Said he could hear me blocks away.. so maybe the pipe is a little to loud... hahahaaha.. but dam she sounds and looks great!! Might pick one up for my self and make a slip in baffle.. LOL

I had the same megaphone exhaust in my 550f. Sounds great and the videos never allow the listener to hear the real sound. Love it. Any plans to move it up or will it be staying put?

Wicked!!
How was it on the high ways? Was it to loud?
The pipe isn't mine. Its going on cb750 SS Brat-style I'm building for a friend.. I put it on my bike for #$%*s'n giggles .... He's worried its to loud for him, so I might buy it off him and through it on the 550... Lol thinking if I do, I'll make a db killer to slip in side.

I like the sound on the highway. It is loud but a clean growl to it. People won't forgot you are on the side of them that's for sure.

Hey Kemp.
Its a competition pipe from CycleX. Made for cb750's.. But fits my Mac4-1 header. She's got a sexy growl :) lol.
I really hope to have her out on the street this summer. Love to roll down to a few of the meets. ;)

Sadly the 550 hasn't had much work done.
Been busy building this mild Brat cb750 S.S. for a friend.
Just finished and sent home to the happy master. ;)

Looks pretty nice!  What seat did you go with on that 750?

Made it. Used aluminum sheet for the pan. Three layers of thick yoga matt for pading.
Had a local leather shop stitch the seat cover. And Endri wrapped it. Used the lock pin off the old seat and made a hindge. Endri still wanted to be able to open close the seat as before. Came out nice. Lol

two other angles.. kinda hard to photograph the plate right.. lol

hope that gives you an idea at least cwchan? lol

I know I'm a little behind on this...I see most of your stuff on instagram lately! ha.

I've got an Acewell gauge that needs to go in, and I'm just curious how straight forward install was.   I'm aware I'll have to make a bracket, and splice some wires...beyond that, any other hurdles I should look out for??

Lol. Awesome. Who are you on IG?

Acewell is a pretty easy install. Wiring diagram from acewel works great. Just follow your wiring diagram for your bike.
Only issues i found. Are mosty tac realated. I wrapped my wire around #2 plug cable. It works fine around idle. But jumps really high on the rev's. i know my bike, and I know that it isn't reving at 10k when it sounds like 5k. Lol i haven't figured out any solutions to this "minor" problem. As I don't rely on the tac for everything. Lol

Now. as for the Speedo pick up. I made a bracket on the forks to hold the pick up. And made a unit that bolts onto the brake disc to secure the magnet. That you'll have to figure out what works on your bike.

Oil presure light.. I couldn't get the oil light to go out once the engine was running. It was bugging me for a while. I trouble shooted it for a while.. Found no solution there. So i just disconnected it for now.

So unless someone or you, have better luck with the tac and oil light. Please let me know. Other wise, these are the only down falls to the gauge. Beyound that. I still love mine. :)

I wired the tach pickup into one of the coils.  Works perfectly.  I'll take some pics & post them later today.  No issues with the oil light here

Rusty, Do you have any pics of the speedo pickup?
