Small change made to Olivia.
Decided as much I love the velocity stacks... they are just not the most practical, especially stuck riding in wet weather. So I whipped up this:

I think I saw that in your FB feed Cam. Looks rad! Let us know how it performs and tunes in comparison to the stacks.

Took the bike for a quick burn... So far looks like the 130 mains I used for the stacks are still good for this set up as well. To be honest, the bike feels stronger with this unipod than the stacks. And I don't hear that slurping sounds from the stacks anymore. Lol pretty stocked with how its turned out so far. Still need to sync the carbs and tweak a few things.

Any chance of a photo fitted to the bike. Also what size uni pod? Love the idea.

Unifilter part number UP-4300ST
I.D. 3"
O.D. 4 1/2"
Length. 4"
Inlet I.D. 2 3/4"

Made a 2 3/4" to 2 1/2" reducer. Welded to flat plate with the 2 1/2" hole. Bolted through the air plenum where the stock air box would normally line up. Used a "L" bracket to take the load and lock it down to the frame under the seat. The carb boots are not strong enough to take the weight on their own.

Hey Rusty.. Can you post some pics of your rear mounts for the shocks? I am struggling with mine on my build.

Hey Tews.. Sorry bro. Don't really have photos of the RS.mounts. I kinda missed out on taking any when I made them. Lol more or less. I reused the passanger peg mounts. Reshaped a little and welded into new location. This photos are not great, but best I have thus far.

I like how you left the tank "Raw" but with a nice shine. It just brings a different type of attitude.

Damn that turned out nice!!

Thank you sir! :)
There was a lot of debating on whether to redo to tank or leave it in it original patina.
After some persuasion, leaving it original won. Think it was a good decission. Only thing I did was give it a few coats of wax and polish back some of the old luster.

Nice!  Still pretty chilly up in the Queen City, but you polar bears can handle it better than us.

The bike is running nice and smooth!

This season is going to be fun.  ;D

Went for an hour and half break'in ride last night. Few minor tweeks to do... But other than those. She's good to go!  8)

Looks good Cam! I'm beyond jealous. Still no word on when my engine will be done but one day there will be another cb550 tearing up the Toronto streets. For some reason my stock Suzuki GS 500 just ain't the same. I won't be tearing up any streets on that any time soon. :)

Rusty with the long ride. How do you feel the modern front end compares to stock? Do straight ways on Highway or sharp turns feel improved?

Hey man....
I have to say the bike feels amazing. Night'n day difference from stock. The forks are great. The adility to tune the forks compression and rebound helped alot. Bike is smooth all around. Quick and nibble in the city and tracks straight and steady on the high ways. Had the bike up to 130kmh already. And felt confidant and secure. I have no doubt in my mind the set up just right. I point it where I wanna go, and if goes without struggle. No more fork flex under hard braking or front end dives in tight corners under braking.

The rain held off enough last night to be able to take Olivia down to Tim Horton's on Lakeshore and Leslie (toronto) ... for Thursday night Bike Night.
Decent turn out for being early in the season. Can't wait till the hot summer nights when hundreds turn out. :)

I know you probably noted this somewhere in your build, but it's just too damn big to look. Where did you source jets for your carbs? I thought I could score them from jetsrus but I'm told it's a pain to have them shipped to Canada.

Hmmm? I just buy my jets from Glen over at Flying Squirrel Motorocycles here in Toronto.
But. If you are not local. There is also Sigma Jet Kits... Not sure there web site address.. Google them I guess.
