Its a bike.. why does it respond such controversial heat? Hahaha. To think, if I actually listened to the hate, this bike, that was in my head for years. Wouldn't have ever come to life.

Exactly!  Zero __ given!

Not zero, you whipper snappers and your digital guauges and fancy smartphones...can't read a proper analog gauge. !t is only giving less than -20 on the GAF - IO meter. (Displaying the output to the "hater input" provided.)

When the Tundra gets less bone-chilling cold, please give us a ride report.

This bike has some serious mods -- smaller offset triple tree, longer wheelbase, larger diameter rear and longer rear shocks -- modern rubber, modern forks and brakes.  How would you characterize the handling/cornering compared to a stocker?

When the 550 was in it. They bike rides really good. Compared to all my bikes I have and have had. This girl is really a joy. To be honest. Its a trouble maker. Lol hard to ride it slow. Hahaha.

It really can't be compared to a stock bike mostly because so much has changed. Its not really even in the same ball park anymore. Its like comparing a base model 911 to a road touring race version. Lol yes I know it's only a 550cc bike, but you wouldn't know it while riding.

Having a suspension that's tuneable makes a big difference as well. Sucks up the road without transmitting a lot of indifferences to the rider. Also having a bike built specifically to my size, my ergonomics, my style plays a key element. Being lower in the bike also makes the rider and bike feel like one. Don't feel top heavy like I did when it was stock.

So many people think they're being funny when they joke about how uncomfortable it "must be". But, its far from uncomfortable. When a bike is set up exactly how you are built. It should never be uncomfortable. Took a 750km (466miles) road trip in one day. And never got tired or uncomfortable unlike some other guys.

I have ridden many sport bikes. And I guess it feels much like one. Only better in my opinion, but then again. I'm pretty biased. Lol

Can't wait to feel this new motor this summer.

Nice. That's how a custom bike should be, designed and built for you and your body. It's amazing how many people build a bike, and put the rearsets wherever is convenient ( like the rear passenger peg holes), and slam down clipons for a "look" , with no regards to practicality or ergonomics. Great job. Nice looking bike!

So true. I try to tell everyone i have built bikes for or building bikes.. the rider needs to come try on the bike throughout the built. If it doesn't feel right. It ain't right. If it doesn't work properly, its not right. If the bike isn't right... you aren't going to want to ride it and its now a waste of money, time and a bike. Lol

Beautiful build, how did you keep the chain from rubbing the swing arm? I have a 75 in the works and I made a chain slider because it was so close.

Honestly. I don't know. Lol it hasn't been a problem with the 550 motor. But i see the bearing cup on the swingarm might come in contract with the chain with the 650 motor.

Olivia down!
Got cut off few weeks back. Haven’t posted anything here in a while. So thought maybe worth sharing.
Bike is danged up. But fixable. I was bruised but more pissed off at the fact the drive drove off before I got back on my feet. And not a single person that witnessed the accident stopped to offer help or even care if I was alright.

Right side to the hit to the pavement. Clip ons are bent, bar mirror is gone. Right side peg mount bent back into the swing arm. Exhaust is scratched and headers are tweeked. Right side controls pushed a good side dent in the gas tank.

All I can say is. It could have been worse.

Lol which wreck? Me or the bike? Hahaha.
Lucky enough. It’s mostly just cosmetic stuff. I already straightened out the peg mount and got new mirrors thanks to a friend that had an extra set. Need to pick up a new clip on and timing cover. Not sure what to do about the tank right now. Maybe worth just keeping the battle wound to tell stories. Lol i loved the natural patina it had. So in my mind, kind of a shame to fix the dent and repaint the tank. But who knows

Thanks for the well wishes, Don, but Only the memories are salvageable. Adjuster stopped once the repair costs exceeded $15k and he hadn’t even gotten past the tank. Frame sneered at the steering head, front end toast, cluster, exhaust, cooling, tank, bodywork, seat... all gone. But he’s still here and going to mend up. Already looking for the replacement ride for Spring.

Sorry, Cam. I was referring to Cal's wrecked BMW S1000R.  Boo hoo!
