you mentioned a comment left on your build about your exhaust on my build, and questioned the pipes I am building....

The main difference I can see is the cylinder pipes that are paired up, in your pics you have 1 and 2, 3 and 4 dumping into the same collector where I have 1 and 3, 2 and 4 mated. I did this for two reasons it looks really cool, but the main reason was the spacing would be even alternating sides with each plug firing. it seems to empty the cylinder well and it sounds wicked.

on yours you would have them firing back to back  and dumping back to back, seem busy to me but if the motor is mostly stock I don't see a big problem

FWIW, I'm not a shill for Race Tech - I've just got a thing for good suspension and the RTCE's are the most cost-effective mod for these old damping rod front ends.

Are you sure?  The firing order is 1-2-4-3.  So, the exhaust pulses will go like this:

1: LEFT
2: RIGHT
4: RIGHT
3: LEFT

Looks like you've got a left, left, right, right, left, left, right, right, etc. setup.  If you want left, right, left, right, it should be 1&4 paired up and 2&3 paired up - that's how the plug wires are paired up with the coils, right?

It still looks better than the 1&2, 3&4 pipes, and will work every bit as well.  I wouldn't stress too much about the pulse tuning or the primary length.  Sure those things matter for performance applications but these builds are usually more about style than performance.

With that said, I think it's a mistake to blow off or mock the stuff that RR has said - sounds like he has some relevant experience and knowledge of results and pitfalls.

the set on the bobber is set #2 that I have build just like that, the first set was on a cafe project, it tuned well and ran very strong with 1.5 inch tube there is plenty of room to breath. it did run better with baffles than it did with out. It is a tuning process.

this is the bike the first set was on

Actually I'm a big fan of the shape. It's a bit different and it should flow with the exhaust really well.

Interesting build man, I can't wait to see the finished product.

I like the seat also!
Have you thought of painting the tail the color of the Honda logo on the tank, if you upholster the seat in black it would be kind of cool looking IMO.

I'd say leave the fender off. It would look better fenderless. Although you may need to clean the front of you bike more but I think it looks way sweeter with out the fender on. Sweet build either way.

I'd fab up a brace and go without a fender. Looks better IMO.
