1974 Honda CB 750 "Decafenated" Project
« on: January 01, 2011, 04:02:50 PM »
Hello Guys and Gals

Here is my Cafe Racer project. Its a low mileage 1974 Honda CB 750. I purchased this bike for a really resonable price. I plan on fully restoring it doing most of the work myself. I am located in Cincinnati, OH

Plans:
1. Get her running first, so I can get the vitals on the motor and trans (rebuilding carbs now)
2. Tear her down, order parts oem and aftermarket (seat and tank will be the Benjis Dolpin-style)
3. Powdercoat, polish and paint frame and misc parts

Stay tuned, this will take sometime...I am not in a rush, because I am kinda learning as I go!

Here are some pics!

P.S If anyone wants the seat...(which I know I will get a ton of pm's on) it is for sale

Stev-o

I am rebuilding the carbs now....

I redid all the wiring and got the starter to turn the motor over (got the cylinders soaking now)

Hey Jakub,
I'm better known as Brown Bomber, or BB. The "Ready Steady" is recent appendage that may change or even come off all together and go back to plain old Brown Bomber. (Some of us got carried away having fun with names, something that started on the South Side Dive Bar thread.)
I get over to the east side quite a bit when the weather permits, so hopefully we'll get together for a ride in the future.
